Great hotel

Large, clean rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff were all friendly. Great location. There are several restaurants and attractions nearby. Water pressure was perfect in the shower. The only bad thing is the pool area is very small and never had towels.

Stephanie the FD manager was amazing! I was there for less than 5 minutes and she already made my day! She was very friendly/inviting and made sure we were informed of the rules, bar/restaurant times, and many more.

Love the mission but improvements needed

Reviewed By AlyseW1789

I'll start with the positives. I booked this hotel because of it's eco-friendly and sustainability mission which is important to me. I loved the garden wall and the common areas were beautiful and cozy. We didn't use the fitness/yoga center or the pool but having those options were nice. The location was perfect and close to everything. Now for the negatives: our room was smaller than I had anticipated and a bit bland. Although the bathroom barn door was cute, it really wasn't practical. Bathrooms require privacy and having a door that not only doesn't lock but also doesn't even actually close is an odd choice. We stayed for 4 nights, 5 days and requested a turndown service but didn't get it until our second-to-last day there. Also, the new towels they provided didn't smell clean. The staff was also not super friendly. They weren't rude by any means but just not very welcoming. Overall, the hotel was beautiful and I love their mission but I would not likely stay here again.

Great Place!

Reviewed By azo49008

We’ve never stayed at a Drury property before but if they’re all like the one in Colorado Springs it will be our new go-to hotel brand when we’re traveling. Here in Colorado Springs I thing the best word to describe it is professional hospitality. Every staff member we’ve encountered has been friendly and helpful. With all the staff shortages in seemingly every area of the hospitality/service sector attention to detail and service levels have suffered. Not at this hotel. I watched both mornings as the front desk staff went over to the breakfast lounge to wipe down tables and tidy up. Speaking of the breakfast, it’s definitely better than most hotel breakfasts I’ve encountered. There’s a nice balance between sweet stuff and proteins, yogurt, fresh fruit. The chafing dishes are checked and replenished regularly. In the evenings between 5:30 and 7:00 they have hot appetizer foods that essentially can double as a light evening meal and you get a card for three drinks at their basic bar. I’m looking forward to staying at other locations if this is what all Drury properties are like. The big chains could learn a thing or two from them.

Wonderful Castle in Colorado

The grounds, staff and views were all outstanding. We had a great tea but had even more fun walking around the castle and taking photos. The Property was well maintained and peaceful. If we had worn different shoes it looks like we could have gotten in a nice hike/walk as well. Bookstore had a nice selection and the terrace was great for enjoying the views.

Feeling pampered

Reviewed By travelinda20

Had a wonderful experience at The Cliff House. We were given an upgraded room when we arrived, which is always a pleasant surprise. All staff members were helpful, cheerful, and friendly. Loved staying in a hotel with such a long history of gracious hospitality. Spend a little time looking at the old photos and reading about the hotel, it's fascinating. Loved sitting out on the front porch and having a drink or two. Actually ate small bites and sandwiches there one afternoon, and had the best smoked turkey sandwich we have ever eaten. So, we made reservations the next night to eat in the dining room. This was excellent as well, and the sommelier was so knowledgeable and helpful in choosing a fantastic white wine. Fantastic. We hadn't planned to eat anywhere fancy during this trip, and so did not pack more than a nice pair of jeans, but we were made aware that would not be a concern. So happy we made this decision!
