Lots of food for the price, good service, and well prepared dishes makes this a worthwhile stop while in Cotacachi. Jovan is a good floor manager, always asking if you want more or need anything. I love empanadas and these did not disappoint. Big cold liters of Pilsner did not hurt either. Not just another local indigenous food experience - pretty good Venezuelan offering. La Marquesa

Our driver guided us to La Marquesa for lunch on our day trip to Cotacachi. The restaurant is reasonably priced, but the food was pretty up and down. The locro (potato soup) and steak were both good, but the trout and cuy weren't. The trout was advertised as a filet, but was actually a whole fish breaded and fried! The cuy was also deep fried, and I would recommend roast cuy for a first-timer. The place can also be a bit loud. Overall, this is a decent stop, but we liked the restaurants in Otavalo a lot more.
