Located along one of the main roads from East to West in South Norway (E134), this lovely "village" offers nice, timbered houses, displays of various kinds, a small concerth venue, shops with traditional foods and handicrafts. Well wort a visit.

3. Raulandsfjell Cafeteria & Restaurant

A historic castle with a very friendly and cosy atmosphere, obviously due to it's owners. The history of the castle and its owners over 700 years was very well told, the furniture, paintings and china are amongst the best in the world and the fact that Downton Abbey had been filmed inside the castle and costumes and photos from the shoots were on display, added to the excitement. Children were catered for with hidden treasures in the stately rooms, and medieval games played outside. Very informative and friendly guides in every room. There is a cafe and very good souvenir shops.

Vi var en vennegjeng som besøkte Fjøllhalli. Trivelig betjening, godt øl på tapp, godt øl på flaske. Burgeren er svær og saftig.
