This eatery was recommended as the best seafood in the area. It's pretty good. Not gourmet, but for a fisherman's platter, fried scallops, clams--all the traditional seafood in the American cuisine, we go here.
Funny story: I am kind of a health nut, and when I ordered the all-fried fisherman's platter, my husband said, "What are you doing?" I said, "I don't know, it's kind of a childhood memory."
Later, in the month, I was watching Anthony Bourdain's travel piece on New Jersey (no kidding), and he went into a place in NJ and ordered the fisherman's platter. He admitted it was counter-culture with health stuff and all, but he said, "I don't know, it's kind of a chlldhood memory." Again no kidding. Funny, right?
When we want fine dining seafood, we have our fav in Jamestown, RI--Jamestown Fish.

Love, love, love their ice cream. There is nothing like fresh homemade ice cream. Summer wouldn't be complete without a visit to Collins Creamery.

Tunxis presented good atmosphere and great menu options. Dinner was casual, enjoyable, and relaxed.
We had a small business dinner on a Monday night, so crowds were not a factor.
We ordered 2 appetizers, eggplant fries and sprouts. Both were more than ample portions and both were delicious.
Dinner was wonderful, service was great, and I prices were reasonable.
I would recommend this restaurant.

I wish there were more It's a Grind's in the area. The environment is great and staff friendly but the reason I keep coming back is always the coffee. They always have unique flavors and fantastic beans you can purchase. This is the only place I will buy my beans and I'll make the 45 minute drive every few weeks to pick up another pound of beans.

Stopped in for a quick dinner before going to my hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the pork spring rolls and potstickers. Great choice. Then I had a bowl of beef Pho soup. Besides being very filling, it was fantastic. Whether you're at an airport hotel or just driving through, this is a must stop restaurant.

Nice Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is more dinner type which was fine with me. Bread came with dinner and the rolls were great. Salad was fresh. I had the clam chowder and it was very good. Entrees are large and good.

We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The inside is small, so a big group is not advisable. I had the meat lovers omelet. It was fantastic and the home fries were good. Wife had French toast that she said was excellent. Good bacon also. One word of warning, this place only takes CASH! There is an ATM machine in the corner.

It's restaurant is 200 feet from the front door of the Hampton Inn so I decided to walk across the parking lot for dinner last night the recommendation of the two ladies working at the front desk when I checked in. Proximity had a lot to do with my decision, but it turned out to be a great decision. This was the quality of barbecue I would expect to find in Tennessee or the Carolinas or Texas!! I sat in the bar area that had multiple TVs playing along with a live trivia game. The two lady bartenders were spectacular and totally on top of their game. Food was hot, fast and reasonably priced. A solid win if you dig BBQ!!!

We went to Ruby Tuesday's by Bradley Airport, not expecting much. It was an extremely pleasant surprise.
Although it was crowded, we were seated promptly by an excellent host, and had a very pleasant waitress. The salad bar was excellent, all fresh, and plenty of dressing choices.
We both had fish entrees, which were outstanding.
I have read that the portions were small, but we thought they were just right.
This is a very good restaurant, far above what you would expect from most chains. Recommended.

When we visit CT we try to enjoy a dinner at Mei Tzu. Wonderful Asian food. This trip we tried lunch and enjoyed it every bit as much. Excellent entree selections. Well prepared and attractively presented. One of our group got a sushi plate which he enjoyed and two of us ordered the General Tso's chicken. With fried rice and a delicious egg roll it was a very generous lunch. Next time we're in CT we'll be back.
