Worst Hotel Experience
Reviewed By ShamTravellingThe booked room was not provided. The room was dirty, full of dust and not sanitised. I had booked through GoIbibo, they did not provide any resolution, just harrassed us time and again. The reception manager was rude and mocked us. The door lock was broken, the washroom window was also broken, birds flew in and crapped all over the place. I had to check out one day early. GoIbibo denied refund even after promising for that day. The hotel and GoIbibo made a fool out of us.

Reviewed By Amitra78Had gone with my family during May'22, loved the rooms and the pool. Second Floor Premium Rooms are sea facing. The food was also good, but buffet lunch & dinner can have more menu. The service was also upto the mark. The staffs were polite. The ambience at night time was also great. Pool side "Firangi Paani" is of great idea. It's just 1 minute walk to the beach.

Very rude behaviour of staff
Reviewed By vsingh30I have been there on family trip in September 2017; I booked my ticket online but staff were asking extra money by showing some kind of receipt and started quarreling with me and they didn't allow to enter into the hotel room without paying the extra charges. The cleanliness is zero, bathrooms smells badly and irresponsive room service,you have to call 2-3 times at reception then they response. In terms of location, it is good, 10-15 mnts walking distance from new digha beach.

Reviewed By AxxOgabrielThis was my second stay at this property. I saw some negative comment's but remember it's a budget Hotel so dont expect like a Star Category facilities. The Hotel is far from the main road without GPS it's tough to locate. Peaceful location and on the beach. Food is excellent and the staff is also very helpful & polite. Beds are not cozy but ok to spend a night or 2. When you go to a beach u expect to be on beach not sleeping in the room :-) Yes it's a remote area and no shops around in many Kms range. So better get things you want before you arrive there. Free Parking. Other than beach nothing is there. If you want 2 get away from hustle bustle then it's perfect for you if not then stay away from here. Cheers & Will be going to Mainak in next 2 weeks again.

Following are the complimentary items I found in my room. 1). Housefly 2). Cockroach 3). Spider 4). Lizard 3 no’s 5). Lizard potty at every corner 6). 2 frogs that will greet u at your Door at evening. To add to our misery they don’t even have sufficient power back up to provide uninterrupted power supply . It can take 2 hours to get their service be it house keeping items etc. The property is run by few unprofessionals and is suffering from total Mismanagement . Devdeep chakraborty

An A Class Hotel in Digha with Modern facilities

Reviewed By dip_chakrabortyAll, It was a 2 night family trip for 25th-27th December 2020. Please see the detailed review below. Each section is rated out of 5 - LOCATION (1 out of 5) Approximately 1 km. from old Digha beach. Even if you want to take a toto/auto, you have to walk 100 meters. Even if it's that inner location, it was not a lonely place to reside. ROOMS (3.5 out of 5) Overall construction is within a shorter premises and unlikely to be called as a "Resort" unless the superb staffs are putting their efforts. I booked a moonlight suite which was clean and well decorated. But comparing to the price range, room size looks equivalent to a 1 to 1.5k INR budget hotel. A bit more space should have shot the suffocation which was felt. FOOD & RESTAURANT (5+ out of 5) This is the key point and the food blown my mind. Although I want to limit the bar by 5 but written 5+ due to these reasons - (a) buffet complementary breakfast consists of puri, chana daal/other sabji, bread, butter, upma/poha, boiled egg, fruit juice, tea - in short, a morning masterstroke by the chefs. (b) lunch & dinner - I have tasted various dishes and trust me, you can go with any non-veg item they have. Yes, I expected the mutton rogan josh to be a bit red as it expects that color by kashmiri laal mirch and the hilsa bhapa to be a bit flavored through coconut paste. But each of the items including chicken, paneer and even aloo-gobi will surely energize your platter. Did not like the green sauce with reshmi kabab as a diverse red/white sauce was expected. (c) Drinks - Expect a neat price and go for the on call hard/soft drinks service at your in-room minibar. Hats off to the chefs. Their efforts justifies the pricing in this section. This is the best team they have. CAB SERVICE - Service is top notch. But it would be quite interesting to know what was the per kilometer charges. Expect a 40% larger expense. COVID 19 Safety - Just one word. Go for it. Resort Security and Staff Services - Be it inside or outside in the hotel cab, you shouldn't worry about security. Staff behavior is excellent. I really like the way SMOK BBR restaurant folks manages so many peoples' need. RECOMMENDATIONS - 1. Book this hotel if you can walk for a while. If you are travelling with very elderly people, please keep a toto/auto as convenience. 2. Restaurant menu can look pricey to some of you, but it's a A class service in terms of taste and quantity. So go for at-least 1 supper if you stay here. 3. Bengalis can expect Bangla channels in the tv which often ignored by lot of hoteliers. 4. Take the service and pay at end. You should not be worried on any calculation goof ups. People managing over there are awesome. 5. Recommending within max 2K range inclusive of taxes for 1 night. Thank you team. Felt good.

Reviewed By Sritama SThough the hotel is very budget friendly but the basic amminities are not even properly maintained . Due to lack of staffs, we could not get proper services. It took us 30 mins and 3 phone calls to reception to get a bottle of water. And also very poor behaviour from the reception . We went in a group and for first 45 mins they did not let us switch on the AC as well. Pool here has to maintainance and lobby lift stays broken most of the time making it difficult for top floor people. Food quality is poor . The wifi of the hotel doesnt work. And moreover this hotel looks like nothing that is shown in their website . MOST MOST IMPORTANT - The towels, pillow, blankets everything stinks like hell. The washroom stinks always. Position of the hotel is good but one can only expect to see the sea are people staying in 3rd and 4th floor suit (4 beded room) . I had a very bad experience with this hotel.

Digha has a low gradient with a shallow sand beach with gentle waves extends 7 kms in length. In Digha, sea starts about a mile away from the start of the beach. The scenic beauty of this place is charming and luring. The beach is girdled with casuarinas plantations along the coast enhancing the beauty of this place. These trees apart from beautifying the sands also aid in reducing the erosion on the dunes. One can view both sunrise and sunset at Digha sea beach. The distance from our hotel to sea beach is only 2 min. and from bus stand 5 minutes and from station 10 minutes. The facility provides 24 hour power backup and also a restaurant. Our hotel is totally covered by a Wifi zone and CCTV camera.

Reviewed By TellMe71For those who love the beach or the view. This is not for you. The only view is the backside of an underconstruction building and some shanties. There is no hot water. Each time u use the loo pls call up reception for hot water. IF the reception is awake and they remember u might be in luck or else!!! The food is ok but sometimes the cook is on leave so go for it somewhere else. No extra pillows or blankets. They also stink and the pillows are more like flat back pads. The walls are full of graffiti (read obscenities) and dirty. No room service. Badly behaved staff. The a/cs work. Either always on full or not at all. The remote doesn't work. All for 1500/- a day . And no this is not a fake review.
