Excellent authentic Italian restaurant, so stick with the pizza or other Italian food.Service is great in this restaurant of 2 brothers (one is waiter, the other one is chef).You could call them a maffia family as they are always open for a joke.There are many choices on the menu (maybe too many which is the only negative point I can think of, because you simply can't serve all this daily and fresh).I have been here several times and tried different things, but I always come back for the pizza.You can't go wrong with the pizza or anything Italian.

We reserved a table for a family-dinner in this nice Italian restaurant. The friendly waiters explained our choises and the food was very good. We will certainly come back. A minor point is that we had to pay 'cash', no credit-cards are accepted.

I went to Dendermonde for a ceremony with family and friend. For the dinner we were at Gillia smiles & pasta. The welcoming at the reception by the boss is just awesome. We had some pasta with black Angus the food, flavour and wines was so good. So come on if you had a chance to go to Dendermonde go to Gillia and enjoy that's it.Si vous allez à Dendermonde n'hésitez pas à Manger chez Gillia smiles & pasta. A somewhat strange experience at this recommended Italian restaurant in Lede. Our waiter and the bartender covered for each other, as a bell quite often rang for the dumbwaiter lift (kitchen obviously on another floor) to be serviced, pulling our guy away. Their seating areas were small and separate, which allows for some privacy, but also creates a choppy dining feel. We donât speak Dutch, but the tomato salad was just that, a smaller plate of cut up cherry tomatoes. The baked entrees were delicious.

La Piazza is a small restaurant You might walk past easily, situated in front of a church. It's not huge, so it is advised to make reservations. This is home made italian food at its best was the general opinion after our dinner there on a freezing January day. The restaurant serves pizza, pasta, and more elaborate dishes. None of us tried pizza, but we all liked what we had on our plate; including the desserts (tiramisu with speculoos). The house wine was more than ok, and we appreciated the gentle service, and a very reasonable bill. After our visit, we wondered why we hadn't discovered it earlier on!The restaurant is located in front of a church in the center of town, has a modern interior with an open kitchen. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, otherwise open for lunch 12-14, and dinner 18-22h.
