If you like the experience of a local joint then I recommend considering this place when in the Buffalo area. We passed through on our way back from Toronto, and we wanted some great wings. Our first impression is that this is where the locals go. The staff knew so many people by first name, and you could tell patrons enjoyed being there. They seemed to enjoy the atmosphere as well as each other's company. The menu is not too extensive yet most people were getting either the been on weck or the wings. We came for the wings, and we were not disappointed. They were crisp and plump. The homemade blue cheese was awesome. The wings could have been a little saucier yet I was just fine. They do not have a separate kids menu yet they had an item both our kids easily shared. Two important notes. This is a cash only spot with a sign indicating so at the front entrance. Secondly, this place is popular so you may have to wait. We were there at the height of lunch hour, and we were fortunate to quickly get a table.

We were here for restaurant week. I love the building and great decor. However, the food was okay and lack flavor. Unfortunately, it was busy and our reservation were a mess. However, I probably would try it again.. just not on restaurant week.

Let me clarify this at the start.....we love this restaurant and the food is fantastic however we had a miserable eveing because of our server....after he brought our appetizers we never saw him again....took over 30 min to get entrees and then had to go looking for them....also had to go to the manager to pay the bill....we could have very easily walked out...no one would have known....this will not deter us from returning as I said, we love the food but we will be very careful of which server we get. the restaurant deserves at leasst 4 stars but not with that kind of service

Pleasantly surprised - wanting do grab a quick bite after a social event - we ducked out if the rain and into 42 North. Excellent beer choices, and wine as well. Very good pulled pork sandwiches and beautiful salad on side. It exceeded our expectations - delightful staff and guests. You go to the bar and order and they bring it to the table. Most of the guests are millennial - we are not, but felt very comfortable -

Went during restaurant week, so the place was full. The choices we made were both on the regular menu as well as the special menu. All the food was wonderful. Good quality and prepared well. The service was friendly and timely. We has a group of 6 and service was very good. I love the family style serving of potatoes and vegetables. The view and setting are great. We will return again.

It is an authentic neighborhood restaurant with a little charm to the kind of atmosphere you would find in that kind of place. Neighbors talking, attentive waitress (sort of). The food was absolutely average for breakfast. Too many potatoes. Eggs OK (it is really hard to screw up an egg). Pancakes OK, too.

Nice country side home cooking restaurant. Frequented by a lot of locals. Most people seemed to be greeted at the door. I had a ½ fish fry and it was more than enough. Came with choice of potatoes, macaroni and coleslaw. Service is friendly as you would expect from a home cooking restaurant.

Here recently for lunch we appreciated the changes in decor from the previous restaurant. Service was prompt and thorough throughout the meal. Great points for that. The menu I assumed was a lunch menu, starters, salads, sliders and burgers. They have a wild game burger that varies each day including bison, kangaroo, elk, ostriches, etc. I had a regular burger made of chuck, sirloin and short rib. It was a bit dry but tasty on a brioche bun with fried onions arugula and tomato. Fries were good. Husband had white bean chicken chili and a huge pile of nachos. Chili was tomato based kind of enchilada tasting. Not bad. Meaty. Nachos were actually fried wontons so lighter than the corn versions. Too much for one person to eat but would be great for sharing over drinks.

'twas difficult decision as to where to eat my first night in town for the eagerly anticipated 50th hs reunion weekend, as there are now so many excellent restaurants to choose from in my quaint old stomping grou9nds of east aurora, ny. we missed happy hour by 10 minutes so paid hefty freight for a wine and a draught, but, heh, that's not their fault. However, they were at fault for what we were served. Ordered a bowl of creamy vegetable soup, which was passable due to its texture, not due to any happy nuance of herb/seasoning flavors coming forward. The fish tacos sounded good, and waitperson said there had been many raves about them. They were awful, ate only one of the three little buggers. The chipotle-type of essence drowned out whatever haddock taste i had been seeking, and the haddock amount was miniscule, crumbled into tiny nuggets at the bottom of the tacos, which were neither crunchy, nor soft, but something unpallatebly in-between. The french fries in cheese curd and gravy sounded pretty good, so that was ordered for us to share. they arrived cold, had to be sent back. when they returned we dug in, and could eat only a few of them, as they were salted enough to make you pucker. my wife LOVES her salt, and these fries were too salty even for her! we were not charged for the tacos, but the waitperson did charge us for the fries. bummed out big time!

This is a delightful bar and grill in a residential neighborhood of East Aurora. It has a cosy outdoor patio. There is a bar with more seating inside. Their hamburgers are comprised of short ribs, ground chuck, and brisket. They also serve pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.
