Fabulous stay.

We just had a fabulous 1 night stay in "The Loft". The house is lovely house and set in beautiful grounds. The room was really nicely appointed with lots of extra touches such as hot chocolate, a Nespresso machine, and a decanter of sherry. The bed was really comfortable and the towels thick and fluffy. Definitely a cut above most B&Bs and it was also very good value.

Missleading

Reviewed By JossGeorge

For self catering accommodation one would expect some minimum facilities of which a basin and fridge would be essential. On arrival we were told that the only cooling option is a cooler bag with a 2l frozen water bottle and that that is sufficient to keep the food cold. Also the bathroom did not have a wash basin. This implies that washing dishes and shaving or brushing ones teeth will have to happen in the same basin. When looking at the online pictures one of this is apparent. Outside seating is in front of the patrons house windows and therefore has no privacy. Parking is under a not to sturdy shed. All of this would be fine IF one is aware of this in advance. When we decided to leave the patron turned really nasty, even after we decided that we will pay the full amount even though we cannot stay there. We were booked for 2 nights. A very unpleasant experience in contract to the initial warm welcome. The location on the edge of town is beautiful. Maybe one night stay and only in need of facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee would be ok, if one is not particular over sharing kitchen and bathroom washing basin!

Very disappointing stay

Reviewed By webberw32022

After having stayed here before and really enjoyed it, my wife and I decided to stay there again. Our plan was to stay minimum one night with the option to stay a second night. Long story short, our “ cottage” could have been aired out before our arrival. The bedding and covers were very dusty, the bedding seemed as if it had not been changed, and the towels had a terrible odour. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and I was very sorry that I did not bring our own pillows. Unfortunately the above cancelled out the friendly service. At todays prices, I really want to enjoy my stay. We will not be returning.
