Duiven ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. Duiven's name can be translated into English to mean "pigeons" or "doves". Although the coat of arms and logo of the municipality feature pigeons, the name is etymologically related to "dunes" (Dutch: duinen). The flag of the municipality of Duiven was granted and adopted on 25 June 1954.

I would go back. The place was packed at 8.00 on a Friday night suggesting the locals like it. We really enjoyed the food - we had the rijs tafel which was varied, tasty and very generous. The service was very patchy and the wine list was white, red or rose! We settled for beer after one glass of the wine. We had a great night and I would go back.

On Sundays, Ikea Restaurant offers a sumptuous breakfast for just one Euro. One Sunday early morning, we drove from Nijmegin to Duiven (about 1 hour drive) to taste this breakfast. The place was quite crowded and apparently this breakfast is very popular with the people in that area. Items included in the breakfast were clearly displayed and included a croissant, a boiled egg, ham and cheese, a bread roll and coffee. The items were sufficient for a wholesome breakfast. Items were well made and we all savored the breakfast. Additional breakfast items were available as add-on’s. While this low-priced breakfast appears to be a ploy to get more customers in Ikea store (almost all those who came for breakfast, went to the store as the restaurant is within the Ikea store) but the breakfast in itself was a good deal and a trip early on Sundays is certainly worth it.

Tot nu altijd tevreden, maar dit keer lange wachttijd bij het afhalen. 19:00-19:10 werd gezegd, maar 19:35 hadden we nog niets. We hadden al eens gevraagd, maar een stoicijnse reactie was alles wat we kregen.
Over een paar maand proberen we het weer eens en beoordelen we weer.

Where to start.. Staff is brilliant, service is excellent, food is marvellous. The sommelier knows his business and happily explains everything you'd like to know about wines. Staff is friendly and finds exactly the right approach for all their customers: never overdone, exactly right. We had the chef's choice three course. Don't bother counting courses, just sit and be amazed by the dishes. There'll be amuses, tasters and side dishes, each with a new and brilliant combination of tastes: never overdone, exactly right. Obviously with the chef's choice meals the sommelier's choice of wines is recommended. I mentioned the sommelier earlier. His choice for the combination of food and wine was .. well .. perfect? excellent? all of those I'd say.

We go there about once a year, and the last time the service was good, and the pancake's very tasty. It has improved a lot because with previous visits we had to wait a very very long time before the food was served. The quality of te food was also improved, previous years the pancake's were not cooked very well.

We took a surprise menu, with delicious starters! The carpaccio is amazing..
The main course was verry tasty with beef and red fruit sauce!
Wine was appairing perfectly!
Just disapoint about cheese! Yes im french! And little disapoint to have a porto with chocolate cake, too sweet!

Nice Indian restaurant serving very good Indian food with friendly staff. It seems to be a popular place. On both days we went the restaurant was crowded and had to wait quite some time to get what we ordered. But the food was worth the wait. I forgot my phone and the charming lady serving the food came running out to give the phone. Highly appreciated and recommended to visit when you are in Arnhem

What a great hotel. Big rooms and bathroom. Clean. Huge breakfast buffet filled with such yummy food and so much variety. They also have a pool and a gym which I didn't use this time unfortunately. Service is good. You can check in early but will be charged about 20 Euro extra. Only drawback is there is no shops around it within walking distance. I would love to stay here again..

Never been here before although this restaurant exists for many years. The building is nice with different rooms to dine and wine. Romantic. Good waitresses and very nice. Food is high quality against good price. Recommend everyone who like good Italian food. I will go more often here..!!
