I have just left de Pompstee after having lunch with my family and we were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food and give a special mention to our server Anouk. She was so friendly and attentive. Should we be in the tea again this place would be our first choice every time!

Restaurant Brink 15 in Roden offers sandwiches, bagels, ice cream, pan cakes, and between 16.00-19.00 a selection of plate service for dinner. (Yes, if I had to mention a negative point, this is the early closing time). I mentioned it in an earlier review that we have identified Restaurant Brink 15 in Roden as one of the rare restaurants in the Netherlands, where you can get freshly made, tasty food in a casual atmosphere for a reasonable price. One of our fixed stops when in the North-East part of the Netherlands.

We were on the lookout for a âquick biteâ while traveling. We hit on âKlein Paramaribo â restaurant. It doubles as a take-out and restaurant. Seats were comfortable and the waitressâ reception friendly. The menu is a staple of Surinam food and not an endless list of choices which is fine. We took ârotiâ which was tasty and hearty. Do not expect exceptional cuisine, but the food is made with care, love and that shows. The price â quality is good. We would have been fine without the (taped) music which is a weird mix of probably Surinam bands / singers that not always sing in key. The chef makes the difference and his personal approach makes you really feel at home. Adjacent parking is not possible, so be prepared to walk a few meters.

The main restaurant inside the Van der Valk Motel Assen is called 28 Dining, named after the highway A28 on which the motel is located. It is a very spacious and recently redecorated restaurant in faux seventies style. The food was pretty decent and did not take too long to come. Be careful to sit a bit out of airconditionings way.

Have been to this restaurant in the northern part of the Netherlands a number of times, with older relatives as well as with children and grandchildren. The service is not always reliable, but the food is good, on the whole. Our latest meal there was very good, fresh venison steak, a vegetarian dish with a good variety of veggies and bantam eggs, and a wonderful rack of lamb. Good variety of wines as well. In the past we have had a number of meals there, and the service is not always very reliable, sometimes it is very slow, sometimes fast, this time it was just right. Prices are reasonable, and there is a general feeling of comfort about the place, it is like a cozy neighborhood restaurant. Plenty of parking, and there is also outdoor (heated) seating. The setting is attractive, on the edge of fields and under large trees.

A decent restaurant in the middle of the woods! We came in here for lunch after a long (for a Scottish couple) cycle. Well worth it. Good service...reasonable food and a very pleasant location....if passing I would definitely come in here again.

Nicely situated hotel/restaurant in the center of Norg. No-nonsense menu with easy going, very friendly staff. Reasonable priced.Countrystyle surrounding and nice place where you can really talk wit eachother without bothering any other visitors. Spacious.No need to make reservations; they don't even accept reservations for lunch

The location was adjacent to our hotel but made me take the risk eating here was that as we walked but the person who later waited on us was patiently helping a gentleman with a walker out of the rerestaurant into his awaiting car. The menu is based on the number of courses that you want. We opted for the entree and dessert. For the main meal, you had a choice of beef, fish or vegetarian. Next he offered complementing side dishes. For dessert, there were samples of multiple desserts. The meal was excellent-even for an extremely selective eater. The desserts were fantastic. The entire experience was extremely enjoyable both with the food and interaction with the young man who guided us through our dinner. It made dining a pleasure.

For three days in a row, we have enjoyed the three-course menu served as part of a hotel reservation. The menu was different each time, but all of them had been prepared carefully, were original, very tasty and ... beautifully colorful. The vegetarian variant (for one of us) also was really great.The servants were all rather young, but all very professional and polite.The restaurant is located in the white, solemn frontal part of an old mansion with a distinct ambiance up to the smallest detail. Together with a nice view on the countryside --- what else could you possibly want?
