Reviewed By yesenia707perezI stayed at Life for Life what is now over a month ago. My friend and I stumbled upon this hostel and are forever grateful we did. Ricard provided us with such a full experience. During our stay we released sea turtles through the Turtle Conservation Project and learned about the 20+ years of conservation efforts Ricardo has dedicated his life to. Another favorite moment was our guided tour through Rio Claro with Ricardo. He is a seasoned tour guide and excellent company. If you decide to do this tour you will not be disappointed. I am forever grateful to have experienced exploring the pristine jungle surrounding the hostel, and hearing Ricardo's story. I encourage you to journey here and support a truly amazing project, and generous spirit. Accommodations are clean, the food served is delicious and everyone working at the hostel is kind, thoughtful and so accommodating.

Reviewed By franzzeszDue to a cancelled flight we got stuck in Bahia Drake. The team of the hotel came to pick us up at the airport and gave us a very nice room to stay in for the night. They were all super friendly and nice and helped us change our plans in every way they could (they even drove us back to the airport at 5 in the morning to get the earliest flight possible). We were very happy with our (unplanned) stay at this place!

Reviewed By dianak805Without doubt our favourite place in Costa Rica ( there was very very stiff competition for this honour). A stay at del Jaguar is like living in a nature documentary. So many animals come to visit everyday and night. The jungle lives around you, you are allowed to observe. Your days hiking through the jungle, exploring secluded beaches or swinging in your hammock. Choice is yours. End your day with an evening hike, swinging in your hammock or enjoying a cocktail with your friendly bartender. We could easily have stayed her for weeks. Shout out to the awesome staff; the manager, the chef, the bar tenders, maintenance staff, the cleaners and our amazing tour guide.

Reviewed By FireweedyThis is a simple place with only a handful of rooms, but both the location and ambience were outstanding. The lodge is located a good distance on a rough road from the village at Drake Bay. This gave us the perfect opportunity to start our CR trip in a place where we could just relax for a few days - walking miles of beaches or other trails near by, watching the birds from our doorstep, or hanging out in the restaurant with new friends. The rooms are very basic (and inexpensive). We booked a room with an ensuite bathroom, but the location was not the best. It was too close to the kitchen and the view was not as good. The 4 rooms that have shared bathrooms are smaller, but have a lovely balcony to hang out on. If you just need a clean, decent place to sleep these rooms are just fine. What makes this lodge so special is the atmosphere and service delivered up from the three older sisters that basically run the place. The food is outstanding in the lovely open-air restaurant. There was lots of laughter and interaction with the family. throughout the four days we stayed there, We would certainly book again, perhaps for longer.

We offer a small, familiar and private self catering location bordering the rain forest in the vicinity of Corcovado National Park, 10 minutes drive from the shores of the pacific ocean. Located on a private property next to the primary rain forest we offer two tranquil rental units, from one which individual rooms can also be rented upon demand.

We were lucky and saw great birds from the property, and set us up on some great adventures with local guides that felt very authentic! Mike was very helpful with information before arriving and the communication was appreciated. We will be back!
