Best fish and chips in the area. The kids want to go back to Esben and Niels every time we are in Hvide Sande. Remember to get craft beer from the micro brewery in the same building... Mylius Erichsen brewery. The Classic , wheat or pilsner suits the fish and chips Perfect.

Das Essen im Lytgen ist ausgezeichnet. Der Fisch ist naturbelassen und werden mit einer Kartoffelbeilage serviert. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Eine geborene Verkäuferin und mit Herz und Hingabe bei der Sache.

We wanted to eat in this restaurant. As we were standing at the entrance to be waited to be seated. A lady waitress ignored us. So we approach her and asked her for a table for 2 person. She straight away just answered us NO DOGS!! with a very unfriendly voice and angry face. Then we asked if we can seat outside as there are guest with dogs were already sitting outside. Instead of looking if there is a free table or any guest about to leave from the outside seating area she just said full and ignored us by standing aside and did nothing. Since its such an unfriendly greeting we decided not to spend our money in this restaurant. Its a girl with black long hair and quite short. Will not recommend this restaurant to spend your money and being treated so badly.

We arrived a bit late for lunch, but the restaurant was still pretty packed outside. Service was a bit slow, but waiting times still on the acceptable side. No complaints about the friendliness. I had the grilled salmon, which was good, but not exceptional. For my taste, there was too much (different) sauce on my plate. Personally, I think that a nice piece of salmon can stand on its own, with a bit of salt and pepper and perhaps some olive oil and balsamico to support the natural flavor. Instead, I was served garlic mayonnaise in a little cup, plenty of plain mayonnaise on the toast on which the salmon was placed and some creamy dill dressing on top of everything. Perhaps this is simply the nordic style, as opposed to the mediterranean style I am used to.My kids ordered some spareribs with french fries. The ribs were very tender, but their taste was a bit bland. I was missing the spicey and smokey flavor, that you get in real bbq restaurants.Still, we enjoyed our meal and certainly did not leave hungry. I can recommend a visit.

We went on a Sunday night with family and friends. We all went with the 7-course menu and were not disappointed. The food was tasty and beautifully prepared from primarily local produce. The spacing between tables was comfortable and the staff attentive and informative. With all due respect, one would not expect such an amazing restaurant to be situated in Hvide Sande. If you are nearby, it is definitely worth a visit!

Amazing food and carefully chosen wines made up a perfect meal. Love and quality of goods and service was unique. Go there and go all the way with the deluxe menu. You will not regret it.
