Its like going back in time when you visit Weinbeisl. It has a number of different areas in which to seat and a great courtyard which is covered with a vine overhead.
As you would expect, a good wine list of excellent wines alongside a reasonable food menu.
An excellent place for a few glasses of wine after dinner, but it is closed on a Monday.

real good service, quick and good food. the vegetarians also get good selection and they will accomodate you in sharing. clean decor and good secletion of non alcoholic drinks. we were a group of 6 and the bill was reasonable. dessert of pana cota was very good considering it is a asian restaurant.

We gave this resto a try even though my colleague had a bad experience here earlier this year (waited over 90 minutes for his meal). We ordered the venison filet special, after confirming with the waitress that there were still 2 orders available (7:30 pm on a Sunday...). Mine arrived within 20 minutes but the waitress stated that they ran out of the pumpkin side and would my colleague be ok with an alternate (he was ). I started to eat very slowly at his insistence, but after 20 minutes I finished what was a very nice meal and my colleague's was nowhere in sight. When it finally came after 25 minutes, without so much as a visit from a manager, the waitress apologized but offered nothing as compensation. When questioned what would be done she offered a free espresso. Finally after much pushing by my colleague she offered to comp his meal. The substitution for the roasted pumpkin - steamed carrots and snow peas! Turns out the chef decided to make the meal from scratch rather than just make a quick side. When I asked to speak to a manager after the meal I was told that there was not one on duty. Whoever was in charge was afraid to speak to me because of how embarrassed they were by the decision and delay. In is case, two stiles and you're out - I will not return even though the food was good.

Love to sit underneath the Chestnut trees with simple but efficient and reasonable Greek service and food. The were fully booked with Reservations but made an effort to find a table we could have for a quick dinner. Definitely a place to come back to.
Great Greek hospitality!

I found this place by chance. It was my first night ever in Germany; a business trip brought me to Deggendorf for a much too short stay. The Stadtplatz seemed like a good place to start, and I chose the Goldener Engel because it looked good
Not speaking German myself, my waitress was wonderful by speaking English as well as she could (she knew enough and pantomimed the rest!), and then found a menu for me translated into English. She was able to recommend traditional fare I'd like and special beer. Her help was perfect.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Food was hot, beautifully presented, plentiful and delicious. (I had a venison platter.) The special "cloudy" Arcobrau was so good I had to have another. A gentleman who had lingered at a table nearby with his friends came over and, in broken English, introduced himself and welcomed me to Deggendorf.
I left after I, too, had lingered to soak in the ambiance. I left satisfied, full, happy and glad to have made unexpectedly made new friends. I may never have a chance to return to this part of the world, but I hope I do. I promise to enjoy another meal at the Goldener Engel if I can and hope this review might encourage someone else to give it a try.

Sehr durchschnittlich und nichts besonderes vom Ambiente ( kühl und billig angerichtet) über Küche (langweilig) bis zum Service (nicht Gast orientiert).
Betreiber braucht seine Gäste nicht zu Begrüssen, seltsam!! Deswegen nur ein Punkt, sonst wären es zwei
Kein zweites Besuch Wert.
