The Blue Joint

This place looks small from the outside, but has lots of room inside. We were greeted warmly and got shown to a table right away. They had nightly specials going and also their regular menu to choose from. Not a huge menu, but all of the listed items sounded good. Our food came out fast and the server was very pleasant and checked back several times to see what else we needed. Would recommend this place to anyone.

The bakery is a gem of a find! The bear claws are the best ever...Ann is delighted to tell you she uses only almonds....no almond paste! They are fresh baked Tuesday and Saturday and delicious! Cinnamon rolls are picture perfect and taste like grandma's cinnamon rolls!
The sandwiches are worth the trip daily!
You can order 4,6,8 or 10 ounces of your choice of filling...my husband loves this idea! The egg salad is a taste delight.
Try Momma Ann's its aroma isn't the only thing that will make you return!

Montana Cafe

This restaurant is run by (probably) one family working very hard without much training. That means expect casual service from the sons, good oversight by mother and lots of hard work at the grill by others. Because the only other restaurant in town was heavily into construction, we chose to eat here twice---both for breakfast and dinner. It's a great place to watch the locals visit while waiting. It's going to be a long wait so sit back and just listen to small town talk.
Meals are the usual burgers and fries done well enough. Breakfast was the typical American menu done well enough. Perhaps you are getting the gist of this that waiting and well enough are the key words. This area is so amazingly beautiful that meals become second most important, so sit back, wait and enjoy where you are.

We ate there twice over the weekend. Owners very friendly and sociable. The prime rib was hands down the best we have had. Salads are huge and extremely fresh. Service was prompt and efficient. Make reservations before you go. This is a comfortable and down home place, with great atmosphere. All the food we had was excellent, don't miss this place!
