Buena atención y precios accesibles. El plato del día venía con una copa de vino (generosa) y café. El otro plato fue un sandwich vegetariano, que era muy grande. Todo rico, pero el café malo.

This place is not long opened. It was set up by 2 young ambitious guys who have really thought about what they are trying to achieve. Max, one of the owners, has lived in New Zealand and understands that tourists don’t always want to wait until 9pm for dinner. He speaks English too of course. Open for breakfast lunch dinner afterwards tea and anything else that you can fit in to a 24 hour period. Great food. Excellent beers - from a local micro. Wines. Coffee. Etc etc. Covers all bases. Best of luck guys.

Cafe Clapton is a lovely café in town to grab a coffee and do some people watching. The coffee was superb, served with a glass of water and some biscuits and the location couldn't be better. Located in the pedestrian shopping area with lots of tables outside you can really sit back and relax, away from the noise of the traffic. The staff was attentive and friendly and you can also grab something for takeaway. You'll definitely find what you're looking for!

My partner and family have been here on numerous occasion but close to a year ago and they said it went downhill. For my first visit it was definitely not worthwhile. We ordered the high tea, and the sandwiches were dry and simple, better to just get take away at La Reine where it is of quality. All cakes were simple and a little stale, nothing was fresh. Ambiance wise is relaxing but none of us will visit again. Apparently they use to let you select the cakes or sandwiches but now is all set with no changes, I guess same price but decreased in quality.Good afternoon Sir/Madam,We are really sorry to read that you wouldn't come back to our Tea house and also to read this comment because it discourages other people from visiting us. I would like to describe our way of working: in almost 4 years we have never changed the raw material brands, our baker has been working with us since we opened and our way of doing things is exactly the same since the beginning. All of the raw product prices have indeed increased, however we haven't stopped working with them. Instead of changing them, we incorporated strategies to continue being profitable, such as selecting products and including the in promotion offer. If you would like to choose individual items, there is always the possibility of ordering from all the products that aren't included on that specific offer (more than 200). After your comment, we held a meeting to review the aspects of your visit from last Monday. Of course that our team can always improve, but let me tell you that we are entrepreneurs open to receive all kind of suggestions, not «downhill» ones. That day, one of the owners was here and she would have been glad to hear your comments in a way that would allow us to make your experience better. We hope that you and your family can give us the opportunity of serving you again. Please, let us know if that is the case at: [email protected]. Kind regards,Soledad Bastias

This small place is in the same building as AF. The staff is very friendly. Both the dinner and afternoon tea menu are interesting. The menu is not very large but varied. Aparently it changes every couple of months. There is an amazing selection of tea. Food was very tasty!! Will be back on my next visit to San Juan.Dear JennyGay,Thank you for sharing your experience in La Madeleine! We are very pleased that you enjoyed not only the menu and food (and Teas), but also our's staff attitude. In effect, we change our menu every season, in order to take advantage of the seasonal products and flavors. We will be very pleased of recieving you again in La Madeleine!Sincerely,Mariano Carmona
