Me, my husband and our 12 years old boy stayed at Pousada Mandala in the New Years week, a very crowded season to go to the beach in Brazil. We were looking for a place away from all the hustle and we found exactly what we wanted here! First of all, we have to say that Marcelo (the Owner) is the soul of this place! He is very kind, polite, helpful, concerned about your comfort and speaks several languages ( I can say for sure: english, french, german and portuguese). He went above and beyond to accommodate us ! Thanks, Marcelo! The rooms: clear, spacious (there was a king bed and a twin bed in our room and still have enough room) , clean. They are very simple but functional. Our king size box spring was brand new and very comfortable. There was a new air conditioner, a small fridge and a cable tv. The bathroom is very spacious too, the shower is electrical (it is the standard in brazilians small cities) and worked perfectly and it has a hair dryer. Our room had a small porch with direct access to the garden and pool. The hotel: the breakfast is delicious with several homemade items, and you can also ask for some eggs. The pool restaurant has good and well served food but it takes a very long time to get ready, my suggestion is ask your meal before you go to the beach and tell them what time do you want it ready. All the rooms and gardens are very well maintained and beautifully decorated with some balinese touch. The pool is small but adorable! The beach is gorgeous, clean and almost private. All the staff are very smiley and helpful! Some tips about cumuruxatiba: - There is no public transportation nor taxis, if you don´t have a car be prepared to walk a lot, maybe rent a bike could be a good idea, ask Marcelo before you go. -bring a flashlight battery. The city has an issue with electric power and it can happen a blackout during a couple of hours. - the village is a very rustic place, there is no fancy restaurants or shoppings nearby, it is a place for relax and enjoy the nature, all you need is a pair of flip-flops and sneakers. - there are amazing places to visit around cumuruxatiba, we loved the boat trip to Corumbau. - forget your mobile or tablet, the wi-fi is very poor and there is almost no mobile signal

Situated on the cliff of Areia Preta beach, Pousada Azul offers 2 chalets for 4 to 6 people, ensuring absolute tranquility for lovers of well-being and tranquility. Pousada Azul offers free Wi-Fi with a repeater for optimal use in all common areas. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. A taxi service to the center and the various beaches is also available for an extra charge. Our chalets have a terrace and include a TV, a fridge and a bathroom. The Chalet Azul has its own kitchen but for the guests of the Chalet Bleu it is possible to use the kitchen of our house. Our chalets are decorated with simplicity and include bed linen and towels. The Pousada also offers massages and Reiki sessions on one of our patios with sea views and hydro gymnastics classes. In low season and on request, the Pousada Azul offers a varied cuisine, both Moroccan, Indian and Greek to enjoy on the patio with sea view or in case of heavy rain in the dining room of the house. The loan of bicycles (2 adult bikes and 2 children bikes) is also possible.

We were a group of 8 couples traveling in the south coast of Bahia and stayed at this inn for two days. The service is good and breakfast is superb. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is a very good choice for a place to stay by the beach.
