My wife and I stopped in here recently after a day of skiing. We sat at a high top table in the bar area. We did sit for a bit of a long time before we had our first contact with the waitstaff, however after that service was quick and attentive.

The beers were good and very much as described on the menu. The food portions were large and we easily could have split an entree and a salad.

Tiburon

Reviewed By Greg C - Los Angeles, California

We were looking for a restaurant near the soccer stadium on a trip to SLC, and Trip Advisor steered us to Tiburon. We are very glad that it did. A wonderful little converted home, with a garden in the back, and a very nice patio (although in 100+ degree heat we stayed inside). The food is plated in a bit of a dated fashion, sort of reminiscent of the 90's, but tasted great. The compound butter they bring with the bread that has a hint of shallot, a hint of honey and all sorts of other stuff is amazing. And we were very impressed with the staff who were just wonderful to us. It is more than a bit pricey, but overall a wonderful experience, thanks!

Kneaders Bakery Cafe

Reviewed By JoeWillard - Sandy, Utah

I wanted something different than a Subway sandwich. My wife suggested Kneaders. I guess I am spoiled. I got the chicken salad sandwich. I had it on their country french sliced bread. The bread was excellent. The chicken salad was a little less than fair. First of all, it was just chunks (too big) of chicken, and a bit of mayo, and strips of lettuce. I had to go ask for more mayo. If nothing else, just to keep the chicken from falling out of the bread! Plus it was way too dry in the recipe they used. Breast meat is dry. the bread is dry. a tiny bit of mayo is too dry. I think I would have added some seasoning too. It was pretty bland but I finally choked it down. I think it's probably because this is a "girl food" place. It was girls, making sandwiches for girls.

I did look forward to my desert, I picked a citrus cannoli. It had no flavor, and the cannoli wrapping was bland. I learned my lesson.

Franck's Restaurant

Reviewed By Outdoorpartner - Layton, Utah

When I entered the restaurant, the host greeted me by name (I must have been the last reservation).

The decor is lovely and there is a big screen displaying the kitchen food preparation.

My waiter explained numerous items on the menu. The restaurant also had a small cocktail menu and I really enjoyed the lime-martini.

The beet appetizer was a work of art. It had a wonderful combination of flavors. The soup had a lot of complex flavors. My salmon entree was served with a miso sauce that was frothy. The salmon was tender and cooked to perfection. However it was fishy-tasting. I’m not sure if the restaurant got a bad supply that day or ??? I just figured it was a one-off. Fish is not the specialty here- meat is. The menu is eclectic. Foodies would love this restaurant.

My server was very attentive so I tipped him well. The host was waiting for me with my jacket on the way out. The staff made me feel like a VIP.

Their sign says gourmet Mediterranean and it is a cut above the typical neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant. There are Cous Cous dishes, pasta/noodles, flats (pizza), sandwiches and salads on the menu. I had their Chicken Cous Cous Carbonara and it was very flavorful and plentiful. You place your order, pay and take a number. I had barely gotten my drink, real silverware and found a seat when my meal was delivered to my table. Service and decor were both good. It is not far from my home and will be a spot I will go back too.

This place has been around since before forever ago, and it’s easy to see why. I remember eating there at least 30 years ago. Very basic, very old-school family dining with no surprises. I guess that’s good because you know exactly what to expect. And, a little boring because you know exactly what to expect. I think this last visit may have been my last visit. Service was good though. Thanks.

My second visit and I left once again impressed by my experience.
The interior is cosy and the booth seating is comfy. The menu features a great selection of dishes including barbecue. The drinks menu is equally impressive with a good selection of wines and beers.
I ordered the ribeye which was juicy and tender and cooked to my specification.

The Pie Pizzeria - Midvale

The Pie Pizzeria, a valley landmark since 1980, continues to reign atop the "Best Pizza" lists because of the business philosophy that consistency, quality, equitable pricing and great service are the keys to success. The Pie takes no short cuts! We believe that quality takes time. It would be a MIRACLE if you get your pizza in less than five minutes! We like to consider ourselves old school, no frozen dough or pre-shred bagged pizza cheese here. Everything at The Pie is made to order. Pizza dough is hand rolled and hand tossed the traditional way. We slice our meats, cheeses and vegetables fresh every morning. Our sauces and dressings are made in house too. We do this not because it's the new culinary trend, we do this because we have done it that way for over 35 years. To us it's more about the interaction than the transaction. Relax and let's break bread together...

It's good pizza, not crazy amazing but definitely worth a try. I probably would go back to try a specialty pizza. Just went with a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. Local favorite place.

Yes, it's a bit pricey. But the food has always been good, lunch or dinner. This time we had the short rib and beef medallions, and we enjoyed both thoroughly. Short rib was fork tender and the medallions were cooked perfectly. Pasta is really good as well, just wish they offered a gnocchi dish.
