It is primarily residential with a population of 16,680 at the 2010 census. The town was settled in the 1730s by the Connecticut Colony and was known as Farmingbury, but it was renamed Wolcott after being incorporated in 1796.

We have been going there for many many years. It's a nice place to go with the family so each can eat what they like And you don't have to feel rushed while you eat// take your time and try different items Quite a variety to pick from and you can order from the menu if you choose not to do the buffet

Great place on the Cheshire/Wolcott/Waterbury border for a quick takeout or delivery. But there's more here than your average Chinese place. First they do fresh sushi very well. They also have a few Thai options. Although the offerings are not the same recipes as in a Thai restaurant, they are very good. There's a nice restaurant with table service here too and a sushi bar. They also offer beer, wine and some great sake! I love to stop by here for week night take out but also enjoy stopping with friends or my spouse to eat in Friday night's after work.

We order take out from these guys at least 2x a month and we love the food. I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food. It cannot be oily or have a strange aftertaste. We have tried many restaurants and if it is not Up to Par the first time, the number is deleted and we move on. This location is a keeper. The ingredients are fresh, the food comes hot, they make it pretty quick and the price is reasonable. You will not be disappointed.

The food selection at this buffet is excellent! It was all tasty and fresh, and they even offered custom made hibachi. There's a decent seletion of American for the kids too. The fresh smoothies are delish. There is a beautiful koi pond in the lobby and if you bring quarters you can feed the fish. My 3 year old love it

1. Sun Hing Chinese Restaurant

Sun Hing is your typical Chinese take-out joint. They have a eat-in option, but there are only two tables of 4 available. So when it comes down to it, you go here for take out. The menu is one of those paper-based ones that you get every time you order there. Not an exotic menu, so it really comes down to execution, which they do very well. Everything seems to have just a little more extra taste to it than other places I have been in the area. The chicken (general tso's, orange, etc.) has a little crunch to it which is awesome. Combine that with the reasonable prices they offer (5.95 for a hefty lunch portion with a free soda), and I'll definitely order from here again.
