Reviewed By muirhearI have made numerous trips to the Colca Canyon. I always stay at the Casa Andina. The facilities are beautiful and comfortable and it is well located on the edge of the city of Chivay a short walk to the central plaza and the marketplace.

Reviewed By 514kyliesWhat a gorgeous quirky original hotel. Very authentic, comfy and clean we a beautiful view of the town across the bridge and of the stars at night. Staff are helpful but don’t speak a lot of English and I think they may still be recovering from covid, I.3 no beer at the bar and very confused when pouring a rum and coke or a glass of wine! That said, food was yummy, good portion size and good price. Overall a good hotel but don’t expect 5 star. There is Wi-Fi but it doesn’t really work.

Great little hotel in Chivay
Reviewed By 55yelenamIt was a nice little hotel right in the middle of the town. It was very clean. Bed was comfortable with super-white ironed sheets. Tasty breakfast included eggs made to order, wonderful fruit bowl, bread, buttter, tea, coffee. Hotel staff was very helpful.

Reviewed By SuZhangTGreat place to stay in Chivay, I really liked this hotel, The staff is super friendly and the rooms were warm - including a heater you could use if you wanted and lots of blankets. Hotel is walking distance from the markets and from some areas where you can go on short hikes/walks(which is really all there is to do in the town itself). Has a nice living room and dining room including pool and comfy couches to hang out on. Breakfast was good and warm and plentiful. Highly recommended this hotel in Chivay Arequipa.

Reviewed By daniel_danni_danCamera e bagno pulitissimi. Letto molto comodo. A disposizione è data una stufetta, in caso facesse freddo di notte. Anche la colazione è piuttosto copiosa e il personale è molto flessibile con gli orari. Purtroppo però ho avuto dei problemi con il pagamento mediante carta di credito (accettata ovunque in Perù, tranne qui evidentemente). Inoltre, il wi-fi funziona pochissimo. Nel complesso però è sicuramente una validissima alternativa a Chivay.

Some bedrooms have mountain view.The rooms also include private bathdroom and shower with temperate water.Also our bedrooms have a TV. And we also provide laundry services for a small extra. The Hotel provides a room with chimney and a reception open 24 hours.

Reviewed By DaisyCloverWe chose a mid-range hotel on a two day tour from Arequipa to Puno with Class Tours of Arequipa. This was a decent 3 star hotel. It was walking distance from the centre of the small, cute town of Chivay. Our rooms were bright, clean and reasonably spacious. A small heater was provided. The bed was comfortable with plenty of bedding. The bathroom was not convenient with nowhere to put toiletries but there was hot water, although it was necessary to waste 3 minutes of water before it arrived. The lady in charge had limited English but was helpful. The included breakfast was fruit salad with scrambled eggs, bread, butter, jam and coffee. Coca tea was free in the lobby.

Basic hostel
Reviewed By yoyoywy114We joined a 2 days 1 night tour from Puno to Colca Caynon and stayed at this hostel in Chivay for the night. It’s a basic hostel which located quite close to the main square. The staff doesn’t speak English and we managed to communicate with him by using Google translate. There was no heater, hair dryer and even toilet paper in the room. They charge you extra money for any of the above (e.g. 5 soles for borrowing a hair dryer). Although the room was quite cold at night, it was clean and they provided several layers of blankets. We got bread, ham and cheese and a little bit of fruits for the breakfast.

Great place and great people
Reviewed By Frank-KlinkhammerI arrived here after my trip in the colca canyon beeing really sick. I ended up staying there for 3 nights until I felt ok to travel on. During these days the hostel owner always gave me tea and helped me feeling better. The room, bathroom was clean and I got a good breakfast. For the price a really great place with helpful people. Can fully recommend the hostel.
