The welcome from the staff was very pleasant, and service was quick, although there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant at the same time as me.Ordered the chicken fajitas, plus a large Chisinau beer. The food came fairly quickly, on a sizzling hot skillet, and the portion was generous - maybe one and a half chicken breasts on top of a bed of peppers and onions, with reasonable sized side-bowls of guacamole, salsa and sour cream.The big issue with the dish is the flour tortilla that comes with it. It's like whoever cooks it knows the ingredients of fajitas, but has never had one themselves. As far as I'm concerned, you're supposed to create a little 'parcel' of the various ingredients inside a wrapped up tortilla, right? That becomes a whole lot more difficult when the tortillas are delivered cut up into little wedges. I ended up having to balance everything on top of them, which wasn't necessarily a problem as I was on my own in an empty restaurant, but if I'd been with people in a full room, it would have been slightly more embarrassing as a spectator sport. Only received maybe two tortillas worth of little triangles too, which is out of proportion with the rest of the dish.Other than that, can't fault it. Food plus one drink came to 250 lei, which is maybe a little more than you might pay elsewhere, but the food and service was generally worth it.Dear AdrianC2366Thank you very much for choosing positive feedback. The menus have English and the waiters speak good English. I have ordered the Chicken Soup, Ribeye Steak, Grilled Vegetables, Mixed Grill Kebab and Chocolate Cake. The Chicken Soup was excellent. It bit I my had substantial portions if chicken, but s good bskancr if vegetables. The Grilled Vegetables we're cooked perfectly with a little crunch. Not overcooked at all. Tomatoes, red bell pepper, onion and mushrooms. The Mixed Grill Kebab was also tasty and cooked perfectly. The Ribeye Steak was cooked as desired. It was good... But not great. It was not aged beef. As such, it was still good, especially for the price. The service was good, it just took a long time to get my order. There was only one other ciuoke in the restaurant.

Very good location at the edge of the lake park with astonishing cars parked outside the restaurant much above Moldova standard. Inside no special reason for such clientele. Food reasonable but nothing special, service slow, prices higher than should be according to offer.

We have arrived in Chisinau at a late hour so we couldn't find anything open. Just when we thought we are gonna sleep without eating that night, we found Smokehouse and found out they're open at night. It is a great restaurant with good serving a lot of beers to choose from and good food. We ate very good and tasted from minimum 3 kinds of beers. We are very pleased by the experience we had in Smokehouse.

I had had high expectations for this restaurant and was very disappointed. First, both the food and the wine were mediocre. Second, the staff was very cold from start to end and didnât show the slightest bit of hospitality, which many reviews here attest to. However, when the check came, he emphasized that tips werenât included in the amount. How could they shamelessly ask for a tip while there was in fact no service?!
