Cosy, quiet place
Reviewed By David DThis little hotel is situated in the mountains at the start of 4 hiking trails. A little river is running behind the hotel. There is one main building serving as the reception, restaurant, breakfast area,... The rooms themselves are located in another building next to it, so you need to go outside to go to the restaurant, which is of course not a problem in the summer when it is sunny. We were in the top room, which is rather small, but very cosy. It has a little living space inside, a small terrace, a shower and a toilet in a separate room. The bed was situated 2 meters higher. Some sort of mezzanine, with the size of the mattress. You need to access it via a small ladder, so this could be a problem for people with some physical restrictions. Also there is no elevator, so we needed to carry our bags several floors up via the stairs. The room was clean enough, but not entirely. Mirrors were still dirty, and there were some places with dust and dead insects. There is a very nice common place as well, where you can sit, read, lay outside, use the kitchen,.... This place was really nicely decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel twice. They serve local food, it was tasty and worth its price. Only if you don't want cheese or meat, the choice on the menu becomes very limited. Personally we had some issues with the breakfast. For 2 persons you receive, 2 pieces of bread, 6 little croissants, and only 2 types of jams. We asked if we could have some chocolate spread, but that was not possible. We also asked (a day in advance) if it was possible to have some eggs during breakfast, also that was not possible. So no cereals, no yogurt, no fresh fruit, no granola, no eggs, no meat, no cheese,.... That is way too limited for its price. The personnel was very kind and friendly, so no problems there. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you like a good hike, or the quietness of the mountains.

Reviewed By MACKBAWe had lake view, nice clean chambre with enough room. Plenty of places to visit around. Not many places to eat were open in the low season, so it's better to dine someplace else. There is an event place nearby, and loud music till midnight was not pleasant.

Two night stay
Reviewed By WorthmoretravelVery much a family run hotel. Slightly odd decor in the public areas however the rooms are of a good size, ours had a balcony with a fantastic view over the lake. I would certainly recommend this hotel if only for the view. Breakfast was a very traditional affair with local cheeses, breads and cakes. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant. The food has a local flavour and while not necessarily gourmet it all tasted very good and the staff clearly want to please. This is not a part of France where the English usually go to. I would strongly recommend that one takes the time out to visit the Masif Centrale and to try the local cuisine and especially this friendly hotel.

perfect location
Reviewed By ironmanOxonI stayed for 3 nights in room 3. A great view of the lake and a small balcony with furniture. A safe, fridge and a kettle were a bonus, TV and WIFI all worked. Breakfast was quite adequate and parking outside was available foc. Hot water took a while to be obvious but arrived in the end. Pleasant sun terrace to the side and within walking distance of all types of eateries. Quirky furnishings but overall a very good stay.

Many possibilities for walking directly from the hotel without using the car in this beautiful area (views from hotel over lake to snow clad mountains February) just wonderful Many thanks to the young couple of owners for making our stay so memorable.

Reviewed By Pirouette61Oui en effet ce n'est qu'une chambre et non un appartement ! Ce n'est pas une kitchenette, mais seulement un micro ondes posé sur frigo top. Bruit du frigo qui empêche de dormir. Moquette usagée ! Pas de tv! Pas de fenêtres isolées, etageres tissus qui tombent dès qu'elles sont chargées ! Et ne parlons pas du coin douche et WC où l'on a les genoux coincés dans le mur! Seul point positif, la vue du lac sur terrasse. Passez votre chemin!

WC, douche , cendrier sur la terrasse non vidé, plateau micro-ondes n'en parlons même pas !!! Arrivé vendredi 19h15 , il fallait prévenir les propriétaires, impossible à joindre. 2 nuits sans le déjeuner à 148 €, c'est une honte ! Je suis encore dans la chambre si les propriétaires me lise, pas de souci pour vous rencontrer Cordialement
