Darrell's Bar-B-Que in Center, Texas, is an excellent choice for really good BBQ. While traveling to Texas on business I make sure I eat at Darrell's at least once, but usually find myself there several times during the week. All the smoked meats are great! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Very disappointed in this place. First my blizzard was delivered to me so melted then didn't even do the upside down delivery. It would have dumped out. My order took 24 mins!!! And all i had was french fries and a blizzard. Need i say more.

We stopped and had 6 kids 7 adults. We ordered a wide variety, seafood, steaks, gumbo, chicken fried steaks. The kids ordered a variety as well. Everyone got just how they ordered with zero issues. It was absolutely great food and great service.

I tried them a second time to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I should have stayed away. The wait for food was way too long. People were complaining that it took 30 minutes to get served after ordering. My experience wasn't that bad, but far too long for the number of people there.
I have the wings today. They were over cooked like the chicken strips I previously had.
It's not worth me trying them again. If they are my only option, I will find a vending machine. :(

It's a great stop on 96. Clean, friendly, Whataburger. The staff at these restaurants is always a cut above the other fast food places. We have a Dairy Queen in San Augustine, and I routinely drive the 20 miles to Center for Whataburger. The burgers themselves are not better in all respects, but where you eat will be clean. The staff will be friendly, and you probably won't get incorrectly charged or have a botched order. Also they have the free wifi.

This place is yummy and super cheap. Big plate of food and real authentic tex mex food and salsa. Homemade chips and tortillas. I mean yummy. Definitely worth a stop or two while ur in town.

Went with friends the night before an ordination service. My goodness, what a lot of choices. I don't ever frequent buffet restaurants, so only came with my group. The food was hot and delicious, and the place was clean. Clearly, a very popular place on Friday night, as options are few in tiny Center, Texas.

We are so lucky to have a fine dining restaurant in Center, TX. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is courteous and friendly. The chef puts alot of time into presentation.
Everything we have tried on the menu has been delicious. The menu is varied, chicken, fish, duck, veal,quail, lamb.
I encourage the people in this area to check it out. You will be glad you did.

The offer of free margaritas lured us in, but the quality of food was lacking. It seemed thrown together with poor presentation and bland tastes. I would possibly give it one more chance to all redemption if I travel through again.
