Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Caracas. Santiago de Leon de Caracas, Venezuela's capital, sits in Cerro Avila Valley, where mountain ranges soar 8000 feet from the Caribbean. Once inhabited by Toromaimo Indians, the city was founded by the Spanish in 1567. Chacao is the see-and-be-seen place to eat, drink and socialize, but restaurant destination Las Mercedes is one of the few places safe to walk around. Iglesia de San Francisco is a beautiful example of colonial architecture. Mountainous Parque Nacional El Avila teems with tempting trails.

I have been several times to this nice restaurant. My last visit was last week. Servers are always polite and try to please the requests of the clients.Pizzas are delicious, thin and creative. Food is tasty and well presented. There are many good options: salads, ceviches, risottos, different types of pasta, chicken, steak and fish. Desserts are wonderful: I love their cheesecake, covered with guava paste, the strawberry crumble, the profiteroles, the chocolate fondant, the brownie with vanilla ice cream. All delicious!!

This is a traditional place for pizzas at Las Mercedes, Caracas. I have been going there for many years. Service is nice and pizzas are great and made thin crust and in a wood oven.Try the Siciliana with black olives and sweet onions, the prosciutto one and also the Capresa. They make a very good crepe filled with sweet corn that is gratinated with cheese. Pastas are good too.To drink beer and fruit juices.

This place is well located in Las Mercedes district. There is valet prking like most restaurants in the zone. Service was above average. The place is clean and looks new. They have a nice wine cave at the end of the restaurant without refrigeration... Wines could be better. This place is not cheap but it is worth it. Lots of nice people.. They have several seating places, inside, outside in an open terrace or the second floor that is also a closed terrace and after 11 pm they put different music (hangout / drinks) that does not interfere with the music downstairs... They did a pretty good job isolating! The restrooms were also clean...This place is ok to meet with business partners, clients etc and have some drinks. Food is mixed, I tried several dishes and some were good and some not! The traditional tequenios were ok and the goat cheese tequenios avoid! All in all, this place is ok.Enjoy

The simplest things are sometimes work best and this Pazzo is a good example. Good food and good service in a sober environment without architectural or folkloric tricks in a scenario where bricks and ocher colors dominate the decor. It has a fountain at
I just went there couple of weeks ago and was fascinated bye the ambiance, food and service. It's simply a beautiful place to go have lunch or dinner. Totally recommend the meat carpaccio is simply superb. The fish is prepared to perfection and the meat and pasta have also distinguished dishes among the menu. Totally recommend Love it.

Located along the Riveria Rio Guiare, La Balconata, as the name suggests offers outside dining. The view is not too inspiring (unless, of course, you find pleasure in viewing flyovers and concrete support pillars) however it's nice to be able to find a location in Las Mercedes with an outside dining option. Seated on the balcony we were attended to quickly with a range of drink options (pleasant to find both white and red Sangria being offered) and a good selection of Italian favorites. Particularly noteworthy were the salads and antipasta (both well presented, very generous in portion size and tasty). Mains were also very generous in size hence pizza in the fridge for breakfast. A good option for a family dinner.

This place was located in las Mercedes as La Montanara! They moved to the Euro building hotel and have quite a good spot! They have their own entrance which I did not know... go there for the valet as it will be included ... if you valet at the hotel, it will be expensive!!! (Learned the hard way!!!)Ordered a pizza to start which was quite good and tasty.... then I had the duck which was overlooked... incredible but true! Also had an ai olà pasta that was tasty and al dente! For desert I had maybe the best tiramisu I've had in a looooong time!!! So much so I had to order another one.... service very good and great ambiance!!! If you are staying at the hotel, don't miss it!!!Enjoy

Definetely one of the best family oriented restaurants in Caracas. Forget about those booze and drunk filled restaurants all around Las Mercedes area. Food is not bad but don't expect a 2-Star Michellin guide worth venue either. It is what is a lovely place to spend some time with familywhile eeating decent italian food. Price tag is well above average but it is far from being a luxury restaurant.

In general I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. International food not only Italian, makes it easy for pretty much any palate. Good wine list and the possibility of outside sitting without getting sun baked.

The nice decor is like the house of an eccentric grandmother. Eclectic chairs, old saints, mirrors, embroideries. The terrace is very nice with a lot of tropical plants. The food is very inventive, with seasonings from different parts of the world but mostly italian/venezuelan. Their best dishes are the pastas with venezuelan sauces, like ravioli with asado negro. Only once I was disapointed when there was gravlax in the menu and I was served a very bad smoked salmon. Very pleasant, always crowded.
