Friends who live nearby recommended this restaurant when I asked about places serving chasse (wild game which is in season now). We had lunch there last week.First thing that struck me was hearing the chef telling the waitresses what was and was not available. Clearly he only serves fresh meats etc - nothing frozen and pre-done. Vry nice sign. Second was the warm welcome we had and the nice restaurant - very sunny with a pretty terrace and garden. It wasn't warm enough to eat outside when we were there though.We ordered the Selle de Chevreuil (Saddle of venison) menu at 85frs per person. 4 delicious courses and the venison was really tasty and perfectly cooked. All the traditional garnishes were on the plate and there was a small bowl of home made spätzli. The venison sauce was superb. A great suprise was the entrée - Caparccio of deer with a roquette pesto. It melted in the mouth and was absolutely wonderful. I have not had that before!All in all it as a really good lunch and we are looking forward to going back there. In summer they make a Bouillabaisse which is apparently outstanding according to our friends and the filets de perche are good. We shall have to try those too!

Newly redecorated - but still very simple and a very local type of restaurant. Love the rostis especially. The pizza and pastas are also good. Not a restaurant to go to for a special occasion but is definately a reliable one.

Nomen est omen: Restaurant du Theatre is located...at the theatre, just a few steps from Monthey-Ville railway stop.My lunch was truly close to perfection - driven both by excellent food and great staff.Thumbs-up for the unobstrusive and professional service. Even chef Mauro helped with the service, explaining the ingredients of each dish - a much appreciated gesture.The a-la-carte choices proved excellent but are admittedly not for the budget-conscious. As starter I had "plins" (kind of small ravioli) stuffed with boar meat and garnished with local Chablais truffles - quite delicate and tasty. As main course the veal fillet was tender and cooked to perfection; it was served with chanterelles and diverse vegetables. Unreasonably I also indulged in a dessert: the chocolate moist cake was tasty and well-worth the 20-minute preparation time.Amounting to CHF109 the bill was definitely on the expensive side - as often in Switzerland. However the high quality food and service are well worth it.

Lorsque lâon visite lâétablissement voisin de Benoît Lange, il est pratique de se rendre ensuite au Nirvana voisin, restaurant situé sur le même parking. Câest une yourte aménagée en salle de restaurant avec une ambiance de voyage. Il sâen dégage une atmosphère dâexotisme. La nourriture est indienne et libanaise. Câest bon sans être extraordinaire. Câest agréable et épicé. Juste assez pour nous donner une envie dâaller découvrir les lointains horizons.

Amazing restaurant, friendly polite staff; some of the staff have an Italian accent, which makes you feel you are in Italy. Amazing authentic Italian food; available for take-away.Perfect place for going out with family or friends. There are an outdoor and indoor areas where people can enjoy their meal.

Visited on a quiet weekday. Food was ok but not the best Italian I've had. Started with carpaccio which was very tasty, then I had seafood spaghetti volcano, didn't quite know what it would be. The waiter just put down a dish which had a pastry/pizza type top and that was it - I asked someone else if this was the spaghetti dish,it was and the original waiter should have cut open the pastry/pizza topping to reveal the spaghetti and seafood below, guess this was the volcano.It was ok but nothing special the original waiter asked if there was something wrong as I didn't eat it all, well no there wasn't anything wrong I'd just had enough.If I went again I'd have pizzaHi, thank you for being our guest, and I apologize if the waiter has not been attentive in the service.Next time we will be more careful. We are waiting for you for pizza.Thank you

As a family, we decided to go for a pizza outing, when this restaurant popped up on our TripAdvisor radar.Luckily enough, they had space and could fit us in at a nice table within the restaurant.The food was tasty, the service was fine, the ambiance of the restaurant was to our liking (seemed like recently opened/renovated). So honestly, it was all good. Just not anything spectacular, you know?Being a bit picky, the only thing that bothered us is that one of our waitresses didn't speak English or German, which in such a touristic location was a bit strange.Nevertheless, for all those in the mood for pizza in the Montreaux area, go for it :)
