Very refreshing to be welcomed by people who are happy to work. Have been visiting a friend in Fribourg and discovered this unique place where food was simply delicious. Had a drink at the lounge located in the balcony before our dinner, the view on the place was superb from upstairs with a very creative barman. Try the fish backed in salt crust!Thank you very much for your review. Looking forward to welcoming you again.

On a cold and rainy Sunday night we found this cozy trattoria very inviting. The insalata mista was dressed to perfection and the pizza just perfect. If you love wood fired thin crust pizza served hot with perfectly balanced toppings you will love this Taverna. On a nice day dining on the deck would be quiet and as if you were part of a picture postcard - so very marvelously Murten!

Restaurant had no problem with accepting a reservation for ten diners at lunch, plus one dog. They met us at the door, welcomed the group warmly, accomodate us easily, and provided excellent, friendly, solicitious service. The food was remarkably good, in generous portions (even the allged "Half" portions). Many of those present expressed an interest in returning privately for dinner - the posted set menus looked interesting, though not cheap. A good winelist to explore too; we will certainly return. Not the most glamorous location in lovely, romantic Murten, but conveniently located (across the street from the trainstation) and very pretty inside.

This came recommended on the local tourism office website - in particular the fondue carousel. Its slightly gimmicky, but basically up to 4 people sit in an outdoor carousel which turns slowly throughout your meal, giving everyone a chance at the view over the valley below.The fondue, which was the moitie-moitie version meaning half Gruyere and half Vacherin, was excellent (the best out of our 4th fondue in a week). Service was also extremely attentive and polite by the owner.The place also doubles up as an art studio with various metallic installations with an insect theme. The carousel also appears to have been made there.

There were not many restaurants open late in the evening of a weekday. But the pizzeria was opened and almost full. The decoration and general atmosphere is pretty simple, without pretention. But the wall of italian movie stars is nice. The list of pizza offered is great, with half being the classics, and the other half being 10-15 original combinations. The pizza was excellent and quite big (especially with a lot of rucola on top in the one I choose). I was quite full! The service was friendly and good. Definitely a place I would return on my next visit to Payerne.Thank you see you soon ;o)

We had dinner at this restaurant on the advice of the hotel. We do not regret listening to the recommendation. I had a very nice tournedos with an excellent sauce, very well prepared with handmade pommes and grilled vegetables. My son had steak tartare which was very tasty. Sitting outside on the terrace at this beautiful old street in Murten was a joy. The services was excellent. Mr. Prozillo and his wife manage to offer a very consistent quality of delicious Italian food.The meat, seafood and pasta are always unique, fresh and authentic. We visited this place for many years as regular customers until we lately moved abroad. We were often offered a special like the Bistecca Fiorentina or Tagliatelle with white truffles that wasn't on the menu. Pricewise this place offers excellent value and in summer one can enjoy the beautiful setting in the arcades. Murten's best kept secret when it comes to Italian food!
