Met with a large group for a meal at Muhlental Restorante Pizzeria Bar. First impressions from the outside didn't excite, as it looked kind of run down, but the inside was completely unexpected and wonderful. This was followed up with a friendly server who provided us an English menu that included a much wider listing than the restaurants name seemed to suggest. Our large group tried multiple dishes from veal to fish to pasta dishes (not one pizza in site) and all dishes were raved about. Healthy sized portions was an added bonus. Also the location was convenient, close by the train station and Arcona hotel. This restaurant is proof you can't judge a book from it's cover or a restaurant from it's exterior (or it's name). A pleasant surprise for all.

I always make it a point to have a meal at Little Italy when I am in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The service by the staff is Excellent and the portions are great. Above all, you are not charged a lot although you are in Switzerland. Just a short walk to the right hand side and you are right in the centre of town.

I'm sure things have changed since the last English review of this restaurant (2016, that's 3 years ago) as our dining experience here has been the total opposite. It was lovely, relaxing and delicious. It was our first meal in Schaffhausen, what an intro to the delicious Italian dining options in this town. Friendly staff, one spoke good English and helped us through the German menu which is mainly pasta, gnocchi and rissotto. Prices were typically Swiss (somewhat more expensive than anywhere in Europe!), much the same as the other restaurants in this town. What sets this place apart however is the glorious taste of their pasta sauces. Even our children in the other side of the world commented how they would like to lick the plate clean just looking at the pictures alone! And we did (actually we asked for more bread to wipe our plates clean ha ha). We had homemade gnocchi in bolognese sauce and tortelloni filled with ricotta and chopped walnuts in a creamy nutty sauce (oh yumm!). Nice place. Super clean toilets. Highly recommended.

Four guys and myself came here late one night and we were hungry. The owner welcomed us in even though it was close to closing. Our Pakistani waiter was fantastic considering he was dealing with five hungry guys. My Indian colleague engaged in some nice small talk with the waiter, who hung around to chat with us.Between us, we tried the Crema di Pomodoro, the Insalata Mista a Foglie, a Margherita pizza, an Al Prosciutto di Spalla o al Salame and another pizza I forgot. I remember that we enjoyed everything. Nothing went to waste.We were the only folks in Romana when we left. The owners were very friendly and wished us all a wonderful night.I would return if in the area.

Nice location, big terrace, covered against rain and sun (the big umbrellas would need some cleaning).The waitress lady was really friendly and polite.Food was served quite late, but its taste had compensated the waiting.Lasagna was wonderful.

And after the meal there are many romantic alleys and snickelways to go for a reasonable stroll preparing the good digestion. At the recommendation of my local host, I chose to have dinner at La Forchetta. The hospitality is warm and authentic. The food is beautifully prepared and flavorful. Gianni is delightful and helped me select the perfect wine and aperitif to accompany the meal.I highly recommend this lovely restaurant!
