Itâs a small underground restaurant in the center of Berne. The food is excellent, they only have menus with set prices, starting with a 3 course menu for CHF 78 (no option below it), going up to 7 course menu (much higher price). The food is great, portions small and service very friendly. The ambience is cozy and quiet. I recommend if you have some extra cash to spend :)

On a summer evening, sitting on the terrasse looking at the river with excellent food and service: what else can you want ?The beef filet was just perfectly cooked and so tender, nicely presented with vegetables. «Griesgram» ist wohl die Ãbersetzung von «Mürggel», die am besten passt. «Belper Mürggel Cordon Bleu» hat den knorrigen Berner Sound, der die herausragende Qualität dieses eigenwilligen Gastroprodukts treffsicher beschreibt. Wenn der berühmte Belper Chäs Glauser den Blauschimmel-Käse beisteuert und das Schweineschnitzel knusprig mit würzigem Zopf-Paniermehl gebraten ist, dann bleibt kein Wunsch mehr offen â ausser vielleicht was die Bratkartoffeln betrifft! Da fehlt ein klein wenig Spitzenkoch-Fantasie, die sonst überall auf der Kreuz-Karte spriesst. Und die weissen und grünen Spargeln zum Saison-Abschluss: ein Gedicht!

A gem of a restaurant located in a wing of the former US embassy in a quiet corner of Bern. Run by a very welcoming husband-and-wife team who put their names on the restaurant's documentation (i.e. they're independent and not part of some ghastly chain.) Menu changes with availability of seasonal produce. Although the menu is short (a good sign) there's a pleasing choice of sophisticated fish, meat and vegetarian dishes allowing you to build a dinner of up to 6 courses. We were 4 and a bottle of champagne (Bollinger) apéritif followed by a three-course dinner with a bottle of excellent red wine from eastern Switzerland (think global, drink local) came to just under CHF 500. That's not bad by present-day Swiss standards. Genuine, unpretentious but excellent cuisine served by a young, enthusiastic and multilingual team. In summer you can dine in the garden. We've been twice and will definitely go back.

Food is OK but for a high end italian restaurant by far to expensive. They're trying to redefine the italian kitchen and get on a exclusive cuisine level. In my opinion, good italian but by far to expensive for what they serve and trying to be. Friendly service personal and great atmosphere.

We were hungry and found by accident that lovely restaurant...and it was just great! Staff was super friendly, according to the menu there is a new couple running the restaurant. Had the Belper Pizza, quite expensive (26 CHF) but it is worth, very fresh and the Belper Knollen (special chees from a local cheese factory) is very very delicious.

Visited this restaurant with family and friends from Belp and the service by name and food would make me fly backjust to eat here.Excellent service and though pricey well worth a stop.The grounds that surround the restaurant bring upon it a relaxing atmosphere to which you will enjoy your evening might you be dining inside or outside on their patio.

But we didnât felt welcome when we arrived at 13:00 ... she kept looking at the watch on the wall.At 13:55, she informed us that she is closing the restaurent at 14:00 :-((Food was okThank you for choosing our restaurant for your business lunch.
