We stayed at the hotel and had our first evening meal at the restaurant Yu within the building. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the staff is welcoming and nice. The food is superbe. We were in Bern in July 2017 and had a very enjoyable dining experience at Restaurant Aarbergerhof. It is located at Aabergergasse 40 which is a main street lined with outdoor restaurants. What set this restaurant apart was the availability of an English menu which contained a mix of modern French, Italian and Swiss cuisine, as well as, a good selection of wines. You can dine outside, or pass through an arcade set with several white-cloth tables that are well-spaced. The final choice is a very tasteful dining room which would be great in the winter. We dined in the arcade and had great service, wonderful menu selections (the Tagliata with steak and cream sauce was perfect) and an excellent choice of wines. A delicious dessert and coffee finished the meal. Had a chance to meet the co-owner Patrik Schaad. His staff follows in his footsteps...courteous and friendly. Would recommend it highly as being a cut above in ambience, food and service.

I had a yummy lunch with mixed beef and carrots, accompanied by rice (CHF 14). The service so far is good, but partially self-service (drinks, chekout). 2.50 for a little bottle of a soft drink is very advantageous.It's located in a block where there are other restaurants (1 Chinese, 1 other Thai, 1 Pizza and Döner). For lack of a parking I had to walk for a while. The interior is basic, but well-kept.It's an acceptable spot, but competition is very keen in this area. All the best wishes !

I have lunch regularly at the sushi bar. 4 excellent and fresh menu's to chose from. Mostly theyre pretty booked out so definitely book a table in advance and also they usually give you a deadline but absolutely worth the quality you get

We had dinner here and were watching one of the football games from the European Championship. The food is good and service is friendly. I had the mixed Pakoras as a starter. They came with a bit of green salad with an interesting mango dressing. Yum! The Pakoras were excellent. They were a bit tight on the Raita serving though.For the main course I chose the Shahi Chicken Korma. This was very tasty too.Will come back to this place. I came here with a few girlfriends the other night. There are a few tables outside that are lovely to sit at if it's warm enough! We were told all about the different dishes and their recommendations which was very helpful. The food was wonderful and both Moon and her husband are very friendly and extremely enthusiastic about what they do! Will definitely be returning!Ich war letzten Abend mit einigen Freundinnen im Café. Es hat draussen einige Tische die im Sommer perfekt sind! Uns wurden verschiedene Gerichte erklärt und verschiedene Empfehlungen gemacht, welche sehr hilfreich waren. Das Essen war wunderbar und der Service ebenfalls super! Moon und Ihr Mann sind sehr enthusiastisch und freundlich, wir werden definitiv wieder hier essen kommen!

This is mostly an Asian restaurant, but we were here at lunch time and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Located at the far end of old town, just before the bridge to the bears. We ate outside at a communal long table, but it was not very busy. I had a very large salad with tuna (canned variety), and partner had minestrone soup and Asian shrimp dumplings.
