The Toast

We were riding the Erie Canal and was passing through Canastota at lunch time. We stopped at Toast after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and a local recommendation. We were not disappointed. It is a very quaint breakfast/lunch place and I think it is run by a mother/daughter team. The food was awesome with many different choices. We were a group of 16 and we were welcomed with open arms. The portions of food were extremely generous and you would not leave hungry at all. We had the Jive Turkey panini (turkey, cheddar, carmelized onions, bacon and mayo), and the woodstock panini (chicken, collard greens, mozzarella, balsamic & tomato). Both were awesome. Many of our group also had the soup which was awesome as well. Take advantage of the gem in Canastota.

On my first visit to this Dunkin Donuts I was very surprised at the rudeness of the male employee (name Chris) behind the counter. His remarks were highly uncalled for. I was going to turn around and leave but a very nice young lady interceded and waited on me. I will be stopping there again, until they get better staff.

We are regulars at ZEM's :) Always fast, friendly service and we never leave disappointed. Over the weekend, we even had my dad and his wife come to watch the band and see the car show. And, who could forget the ice cream? They truly enjoyed themselves, as did we.

What can you say Starbucks is basically the same no matter where you go. The coffee and baked goods are overpriced, service better than average.

I had never been to this restaurant before, having passed it many times. Finally made it a point to stop in Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful night and the view was great. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. I had the salmon special and husband had steak. Serving were good sized. Relish dish a nice touch. Would definitely go back again. We have already recommended it to others.

Stopped after some Sylvan Beach business. The road well traveled leads to the giant rooster appearlenty. The place was packed mid week (Tuesday) at 1030am. Thats a sign of being the community center.

We have multiple breakfast items. My favorite was the sausage and gravy over buscuits. Great service, and a friendlt atmosphere. I would steer hungry guests to this place. Did not partake in the $.10 coffee, not a coffee drinker.

This place is right across from the hotel. Friendly service in a nostalgic atmosphere. I was happy with the taste and portions. If you don't feel like driving around you will find something you like here. I would definitely eat here again and would recommend this place to anyone looking for some very good Italian-American cuisine.

Three Pines

This was our first visit back since the early 80's. The bartenders were friendly and the beer was cold. The antipasto salad was shared and there was plenty of it. Disappointed that they did not use slices of provolone, slices of meats or fresher croutons. Shredded cheese and chopped up chicken and ham were in place of. The garlic pizza was extremely salty which covered up the taste of the garlic.
In the couple of hours spent there, we did not see any "take out" orders go out. We found that odd.
Prices were comparable to other bar/restaurants in this area.
My husband and I were appalled by the filthy restrooms. They really are in need of attention and repair.
We will not be back.
