I just ate at The Pizza Grille for the first time and it was a terrific experience. The pizza BBQ Hawaiian Chicken pizza with bacon and caramelized onions was great, as was the shrimp pizza. Our server was friendly and helpful and our food was served in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is attractive and clean. The rest rooms are spotless. I recommend this place highly.

I took my wife here on a Friday night. We were the first to arrive which was a few minutes before $6 but when we left, it was about full..... the food was perfect! I can't say anything more, the food was perfect!

If you like upscale and good food? This is the place to go. I don't mind paying more to have the upscale feel and good food.

I had heard great things about this place and finally got a chance to go. It definitely did not disappoint. The menu boasted many different savory and sweet crepes with excellent combinations. The place is tiny but size doesn't matter in food quality. I will definitely be back!

Hard to know how they can keep this so affordable, given the quality of the local ingredients, substantial portions and imaginative fare. Lettuce wraps with chicken and the calamari were unlike anything we've had before. They seem to emphasize house-fermented kimchi and surprisingly effective contrasts of flavors, everything house-made and many of the ingredients house-grown and -raised. Completely original and un-cliched without seeming like 1990s foodie pretension. The cocktails are a particular highlight. Surprisingly good, live music on the Sat night we were here. What a find, in central Pennsylvania, of all places!

PA Bakery has been known for quite some time as the "Go-To Bakery" for wedding cakes and specialty desserts in The Central PA Area! They're just AWESOME! My Strawberry Filled Wedding Cake was pure perfection 4 1/2 years ago! So scrumptiously good...... so when a girlfriend of mine suggested today that we meet at PA Bakery to celebrate my birthday with dessert and coffee I was super excited! The selection is massive! You think, " I'll have one of these, one of those and yes one of everything!!!!" How does one choose??? I mean seriously! But after 5 minutes of going from display case to display case I settled on their Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cake and my girlfriend ordered their Mini Raspberry Chocolate Torte! Oh my goodness......our taste buds were thanking us BIG TIME! Total perfection!! Their cozy seating area is perfect for good "girl talk!" We had a blast!!

Philadelphia Steaks & Hoagies

Alright...no one is going to suggest this is the healthy meal in your otherwise busy day. That being said, into everyone's life a little pleasure must enter.
This has been my "go to" place for a somewhat decadent sandwich for years. I have tried Philly Cheese Steaks from here to Philly (a lot in Philly), and I have never found a hoagie better than this.

The owner is often behind the counter, and the commitment to a quality product is evident. Ordered in the traditional style, and prepared immediately, this is a quick fix to that craving you get sometimes for a really good, maybe not so healthy, fix.

Provolone, onions, sweet peppers and mayo...Ummm, ummm...can't go wrong.

Home 231

Reviewed By East_Coast_Foodie - Anderson, South Carolina

We stopped at Home 231 for dinner during a road trip we were taking down the east coast. We selected this restaurant using the TripAdvisor app looking for a restaurant that was downtown Harrisburg, that had good reviews, and was vegetarian-friendly.

Because we were very tired and hungry after driving 8+ hours thru the most recent nasty snow storm - we called ahead to make sure the restaurant was open and asked about parking. Happily, they were open and had a parking lot 1/2 block away on the same side of the street with a sign identifying it as being a lot shared by local two restaurants.

Using GPS we found the restaurant but could not find the parking lot in the dark and snow. We slowly cruised the street before calling them back. The person who answered snapped at us that the parking lot was just a 1/2 block away and had a sign. Said we saw one lot with no sign saying Home 231, but it had signs on the walls saying each spot was reserved for JHM(?) We asked if that was the same lot. They said no. We cruised the short street 2 more times and gave up. We parked in the lot with the signs saying "Reserved for JHM". As we walked to the restaurant we found a small black sandwich board saying parking for Home 231 ... but it had blown over and was covered with snow in the gutter. We tried to get it to stand-up again, but it blew over before we entered the restaurant. We told a staff member about the sign. It was not a good start to our dining experience.

They seated us in a cute table right at the front bay window. But it was so cold outside, it was miserable sitting near the window. We were too numb and tired to ask to be moved. The restaurant is an old, narrow building and I noticed as we were leaving that the tables near us were all empty and most of the dinners were tucked in at the tables at the back of the house.

Anyway, my vegetarian daughter ordered the Cheese Board and Beet Salad. She said the cheese was tasty, but skimpy for the price. She raved about the Beet Salad. Besides being served as a work of art, the flavor combinations were outstanding.

I ordered an entree that was a marinated/brined 1/2 chicken with a potato and green veggie. I really don't remember the sides. But I was disappointed with the chicken. I had never been served a 1/2 a chicken that had no white meat. I was served a very plump thigh and wing. I know most people say the dark meat has the more flavor, but personally, I am not a fan of dark meat. If the menu had specified the cuts, then I would have known to order a different dish.

We finished the meal with very good coffee and something chocolate. As we left the restaurant, a manager stopped by to apologize about the sign fiasco at the parking lot. Nice gesture, but too late.
