I am not a huge Subway fan; the food is only so-so and I'm sure it's full of sodium. But the Santa Paula store puts real avocado into their sandwiches, not the "avocado product" most of its stores use.Props!

On the street or inside, this little bistro on Main Street in Santa Paula is a part of our town heritage. You feel that when you enter. I always have Menudo but on weekdays we meet to get a snack or breakfast. Anything you'll order is superb. Service is slow and careful, and when crowded, everyone must take their turn. It is a small spot, seating maybe ten full tables, more outside. This Mexican restaurant will not serve bad meals. Even the kiddo's pancakes look awesome. Beware the red sauce on the enchiladas and the chile relleno and pork chile verde, hot-hot-hot!! I am a weakling. Chips and salsa are fresh.

Located next to the airport, parking is easy. We chose to sit outside to watch the airplanes take off and land. Great offerings on the menu and really friendly service. We chose the Beth's Country Breakfast. It had potatoes, meat, veggies, and gravy. The serving was really generous. My wife and I split it and I still came away full (and I'm a big guy!). My wife, the coffee drinker, said it was one of the best cups of Joe she's had in a long time. With coffee and an extra order of toast it came to about $16 and I would have paid more. Will come again and again.

Our group of 12 was very disappointed with the service and food. Boneless ribs tasted like roast, pizza ordered but was given chicken flatbread had to wait an extra half hour for the correct order, by then everyone had finished their dinner so had it packed to go. Had to ask for drink refills as waitress never came around.

We were on our way home from Filmore, Ca and decided to try something new. After some Google and Yelp searches we landed on Garman's. We were greeted right away, seated right away, and then the server met us right away. It was pretty empty, probably because it's a Saturday afternoon and this seems more like a pub you got to down some beers, so that is probably why everything was very quick. I would love to go back and see how the night life is there. At any rate, good food, yummy dessert --you must try the bread pudding-- and our server was awesome! Nice chill place. Will return. Thanks for the kind words Sami! We are always happy to care for our patrons! You caught us between lunch and dinner and glad you enjoyed! Thanks - Clint
