I always get the Chile Verde Omelette...a 3 egg omelette with outstanding chile verde. My wife had the two egg and bacon special...the bacon was really nice and thick and crisp. They just do a fabulous job. They're open from 6 AM to only 2 PM...just breakfast and lunch. The service is excellent. You won't be disappointed.

My breakfast was fine which was the pancake combo. My husband had the linguica and eggs, he was happy with his as well, though I thought the portion of linguica was rather small compared to other places. The real disappointment was my girls breakfast. They split the biscuit & gravy combo and said the gravy was not good at all. I tasted it and agreed it didn't have a very good flavor. Probably won't be eating here next time were camping.

We have dined here many times over the years while visiting local family members in the Pismo Beach area. This is a family favorite and we have lots of fond memories from meals here. We've always enjoyed the good food at breakfast and dinners, the service is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Casual attire is just fine. When you enter, you find a café bar with barstool and booth seating. In the back is a large dining room with lots of tables for most any size group. The place is always busy and we usually have a little bit of a wait if we don't call ahead for a larger party reservation in the dining room. We will be back next time we visit.

Pennyâs is the best place if you wanna try a real American breakfast. This is diner is informal and offers a great choice of typical food. Waiters are very helpful and willing. Good also for lunch and dinner, non too expensive.

Nice service. Good food. We met friends who also happened to be in the area and had breakfast. Friendly waitress told us no rush. Place is small and we had to sit outside and were challenged to keep shaded as one who has had lots of skin cancer, but was able to tuck myself into a shaded place.

Although there are not a ton of healthy options, we gave into a treat day root beer float and we were just delighted by how nice the employees were and how fun the atmosphere was. We could tell little kids and big kids were loving he experience of eating their meals in a train. Rock N Roll Diner is super close to the beach and it's easy to grab something to go, if you're in a hurry, like we were.
