As so many have noted, the food is both exquisite in taste and presentation. Several of the courses ranked among the best I have ever had. We also were very fortunate in that our dinner partners procured our reservation on the first try! I felt that the sake pairings weren't worth the price. They did not seem to accent the dishes the way a good wine pairing can -- though to be fair, I am not all that familiar with sake so perhaps it is my lack of experience. I also felt that the sitting should either be about a half hour longer or two dishes shorter -- we felt a bit rushed at the end.But in the end, the ambiance, service, food and presentation far outweighed the minor complaints and the experience was very much worth it.

One of the best reasons to come DTLA. We scored a table quickly and enjoyed our meal, cannot say enough about the freshness and presentation. Sugarfish is the draw in this area and we can always rely on great fresh sushi. Trust me - we are coming back!

Absolutely terrible experience, food very mediocre not fresh at all sushi rice is wrong consistency wings arrived totally burnt. Service shocking, prices outrageously high for all of this. Do not visit, spend your money somewhere else! The food and service you describe definitely does not align with our standards, and we are truly sorry your dining experience was anything but positive. Our management team would be grateful for an opportunity to learn more about your visit, so please send us an email at [email protected].
