We found the artichokes to be delicious....2 fried, 1 steamed. The sauces were nice and appeared to be homemade. We visited on a cool day when it was very pleasant to sit outside. Great fun.

This used to be our go to place for local burgers, but when the ownership changed, these just were not the same. The new owners I think are still trying to get a handle on what we like. There burgers are OK, but they were not servicing the Carne Asada burritos that were so good. Also they messed up when they tried to make a chocolate dipped cone. Everything is cooked on their flat top grill, they just need to get into the swing of things. I will likely wait a couple of months to see if they improve.

Tucked away in Salinas is this gem of an eatery that serves up the most perfect fish and chips ever. They have a great varied menu, but I can never stray away from ordering the fish & chips. This is quality hand-battered fish that is fried perfectly every time i've been here. Service is super fast and friendly. The restrooms are always clean and tidy. One would think that better fish & chips would be found by the coast, i.e., Santa Cruz, but the bonus goes to Salinas. Who knew?
