On holiday in California, took the Amtrak with friends to San Juan Capistrano. We were going out for dinner, so only needed a light lunch. The stting is a dream, you can see the trains up close and personal as they roll through the station that is just a few feet away.Shown to our table by polite, well trained, professional staff, and we chose what we were going to eat. We decided o a couple of plates to share, as we knew we were going out later. The chimichurri steak fries, and avocado toast was ordered, and arrived at the table reasonably quickly. The fries had nice chunks of avocado, was well seasoned and enjoyable to eat, the avocado toast looked oh so good (I did not try that as I dont do eggs) and everyone enjoyed what they had eaten. To call this a lunch just does not do it justice, the atmosphere, the live music, the trains rolling by, it is an experience I will fondly remember for a very long time.

Nice place right in the harbor next to the Catalina Express dock. Service was excellent and menu selection was average. Small portions for the large price. Lovely open dining and big upstairs bar. Not a big Wow experience but we had a great time with friends. Can accommodate large parties.

Friends and I visited California from Iowa this past April. An Orange County friend suggested we stop at Turk’s and I am really glad she’d made that suggestion. When we arrived, the place was packed and I figured we didn’t stand a chance of getting a table. But almost like magic, a table opened up within minutes of our arrival. A server was there to take our order shortly after. We stayed for several rounds of drinks. Our table had a view of the various tour boats. I enjoyed that. If I lived in Dana Point, Turk’s would be a favorite spot.

Nice restaurant, atmosphere was welcoming. Unfortunately, food was overpriced . I ordered prime rib with mash potatoes and Ceasar salad. Salad was tasty. I brought a cake and without even asking for it, they informed me that to cut the cake they charge 1.50 p/p. They charge for bread, unless you order salad. Specially for the price of the dinner, no offering complementary bread, was the thing the disappointed me the most . Offering something when you sit down for dinner, it is a welcoming gesture.

Friends kept telling us to try this place, so we booked a table for lunch with another couple with whom we often go out. We were all very impressed with the food and the service. The menu is not vast, but there are lots of options, and they were very flexible about preparation. My husband is a crab cake afficianado and he said they were the equal of ones you find on the Chesapeake. Full of crab, very lightly coasted and no (zero) filler. The salad they came with was also reported to be excellent. Ahi salad was also a hit and we were happy with the wines by the glass. Our server, Maria, was first rate. She made helpful suggestions, was on top of everything without being intrusive and even got them to turn the music down a tad. There are inside and outside options for seating. We had a booth toward the back and it was very comfortable (plus, you can watch the cooks). Parking at lunch was easy and there is also street parking. A new fave of ours.

Went here for HH on a Wednesday and had a great time. There were 5 of us and had been boating for the afternoon. Got a good table on the patio overlooking the Dana Pt Harbor. Hostess and server were very good - friendly and helpful with their menu. Their HH menu is extensive!!! Includes the usual appetizers and some entree size meals including fish and chips. We had the HH margaritas and they were very good.Prices for HH were reasonable, good views of the harbor, plenty of free parking. Will be going back!

Second time we’ve been here for happy hour. Really good food and good drinks in a beautiful setting. Experience is marred by poor service by two bar tenders/waiters trying to take care of everyone. Waited 15-20 minutes for our car, again indicating a staffing problem. Valet guys were all running and could not keep up with the volume. GM needs to address these issues. Beautiful property that used to be well managed when it was St Regis.Dear 869markb,We are disappointed to hear about your recent experience at Aveo Table + Bar. Our server KAR came quickly to take our drink order and informed us wine was $5/glass.and we were happy to order and enjoy. The place was noisy, probably due to Wednesday wine specials. Our entrees were enjoyable.

Based on reviews, my wife and I decided to try a breakfast burrito, it was really good and was a perfect morning for it. I think they could have had an extra waiter as it was fairly busy and the wait for him to come around was a little long, but the burrito made up for it. We also went back with our friends the next day for the grilled cheese and it was also on point. My friends said it lived up to the hype I was saying about it. I would recommend 180blu.(To Travel Is To Live)Thank you for dining with us at 180blu! Aren’t our breakfast burritos delicious? We are elated to hear you took full advantage of our carefully-crafted menu and had not just one, but a couple, memorable dining experiences. We look forward to sharing another meal with you soon.
