After reading some of the recent reviews I was a bit hesitant that I had booked a table for 8 people. I need not have worried, the service was good we were served as soon as we arrived, we let the waitress know that we needed to leave by 7.30 to go to the cinema and she ensured we were served with time to spare. The food was well prepared, varied and served well. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend the spiced orange gin.Thank you for your lovely review, we are very glad that you did not let previous comments change your mind about visiting us and that you were pleased with your experience. We always try our utmost to make sure our customers enjoy their visit without feeling rushed or that they are running out of time, I am pleased that the staff managed this on your visit. We are due to change our drink list including some of our gins so please be sure to look out for these on your next visit. Many ThanksRachael

Family run cafe , a real Tardis , recently refurbished now selling alcohol and open Friday & Saturday evenings until 11pm. Childrenâs area with many toys and fancy dress to keep little minds occupied , fab childrenâs menu. All day breakfast menu, lunches a
Nice funky little cafe with lots of little rooms off rooms. Friendly service. Breakfast was good quality with locally sourced produce. We ordered tea & coffee when we ordered breakfast. We waited about 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and the place was not busy (3 other customers). The lady in the kitchen was more efficient than the baristaâs, as the breakfast was served about a minute after the drinks!

Met with friends for a catch up lunch with my 4 legged friend in tow.We were greeted by a lovely, older, waitress and shown to a corner table.Almost immediately another waitress, all but, demanded our drinks order, not a good start and she obviously had skipped thr customer service training course.Menus were handed out, the same menu has been going since Noah built the ark, now that may suit the octogenarian, but come on make it a little more interesting.Eyes were rolled by little miss bossy when we said we weren't ready to order and we were told she would be hack in a second!!!The nice waitress came back with our drinks and took the order. The chef appeared with a large bowl of water for the dog and a bowl of meat off cuts and made a huge fuss of him, which restored some of my faith in the staff.Salads arrived, beef and chicken. Plates were loaded but it was mainly lettuce with a few slices of cucumber, tomato and diced pepper. The chicken. Was so tough it was inedible, but the dog enjoyed it amd the beef not much better, we complained but the staff were not interested. After declining pudding, nice to see the 1970s haven't been forgotten in Yoxall!! The rude waitress appeared and banged the bill down on the table, we hadnt asked for it and the place was reasonable empty. 5 mons later she came back and said card machine? We ended up ending our catch up and paid and stood in the car park talking!!Sadly this places is all terrible style and no substance. We will not be back. Nasty Woman. The waitress you refer to did not demand your drinks she asked if she could get you any drinks. Our menus are extensive and all dishes are popular you and your friend, not friends, chose from the two meals for £16 menu.On your salads was as follows: mixed leaves, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, onion, red and green peppers, celery, grated carrot, sliced orange, boiled egg and a pot of coleslaw.Your friend commented on how good the food was on the courtesy check and at no time did you complain. After looking at the cctv and speaking to all of the staff involved I find your attitude vindictive.Be a food critic by all means but be a truthful one.

Local pub that serves food daily. We specialize in tapas, grill and bistro food. High quality ale, good selection of draft lagers and large selection of spirits.
Just popped in for a spot of lunch in the beer garden, had the filled rolls which came with a side of chips, they were delicious. Would definitely return and try their main menu with the rest of the family. The inside of the pub was very inviting and toilets immaculately clean. The service with a smile was fabulous too.

The Horseshoe Inn is located in the village of Tatenhill near Burton-Upon-Trent. It is a beautiful country pub with an enclosed beer garden and children's play area, making it the perfect family friendly venue. We offer a great food menu with great value
Popped in for drinks only, the beer garden is a good size with climbing frame etc which is good for children.Plenty of covered seating areas with umbrellas, drink costs average with friendly staff, more of your traditional pub with the usual fare for food. But do say hello to the goats and the chickens (and pullets) just roaming about, never seen that in a pub garden before!Worth a visit.

We had been to the cinema nearby and decided to try here afterwards - great choice! We were greeted immediately and introduced to the waitress who was delightful. The smoked pork belly was delicious, as was the sea bass. We both had apple strudel for pud, which was great. Excellent value and we shall certainly be returning!

Fine English cuisine with a French twist served in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.
Having visited The Old Vicage a few times we had not yet tried the Taster evening. 9 courses cooked to perfection over the course of an evening. There is also the option to purchase a drinks package that perfectly complements the food. Service as ever is exceptional and attentive. Would highly recommend this, however it is limited availability as we booked a few months ago so be prepared that there may be a waiting list.Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your recent experience with us on our Tasting evening. I will pass on all of your lovely comments onto all of the staff.Hopefully we will see you again soon.Merci,Pascal

Our first visit and on a busy Saturday night. Table was booked for 20.30 but we didnât eat a thing until 21.45. Waitress was lovely and apologised and gave us a round of drinks on the house without us asking for anything which was very nice of her.Good things - lovely waitress, food was amazing, nice bustling atmosphere. Not so good things - Long wait, expensiveAnd whats the lettuce wedge all about ? Donât quite get that Love your review, Thank you for so honest comment and we are so sorry about wait, but Saturday night is really hard for us and we try make everyone happy. And the lettuce wedge originally came from an old America steak house back in 1950s. We've put our own twist on it, as it use to be served plain. The lettuce Wedge is a refreshing accompaniment that compliments the rich flavours of the steak.
