Perfect ambient, perfect service, perfect food!
Located in Bryanston, this restaurant shows the old colonial ambient. And it's huge. Outside you have a fireplace.
The service is extra ordinary. Three different waiters were responsible for our table. And each waiter was a specialist in his profession and high motivated.
We tried the Kudu-fillet, the ordinary beef and several types of carpaccio. Absolute perfect!
Good wine and a good whisky were offered too.
We will come back, definitely.

Always good food, excellent service from the bar & Terrace staff to the restaurant staff, excellent chefs - this restaurant is consistently good. They can easily boast serving of the best steak in Johannesburg . We visit them at least twice a month, every month. It would be really nice to see a new and revised menu with some new exciting dishes, it’s been the same menu for many months now. The chef is very creative at Punchinellos and his skills should not be hidden.

Had a very relaxing dinner with my wife. Great live jazz background music with fantastic views.
Calamari stater and shushi were fantastic!! Lamb rump was okay, I had the duck orange before which I my view is there signature dish! Coffee and desert good! Service always good and staff very attentive .
Best wine list in Jhb, but expect to pay top $!
Wine glasses are Riedel so worth spending on a expensive wine.
Well done! Signature is a special place regardless being expensive!!

This is a very authentic Portuguese restaurant. The owner is omnipresent and makes a genuine attempt to ensure that the menu is explained to you. There are some very traditional Portuguese dishes such as goat, Bacalhau and various pork dishes. The best selection of Portuguese wines in South Africa. Recommended.

The food is of excellent quality. The service is superb. Our ambassador Teddy was very attentive without being intrusive. I would come back here often. The kingklip lamb shank and bunny chow were delectable. Will definitely be back.

We had open sandwiches, which although delicious were not exactly gourmet. We also had chocolate brownies which were amazing! The let down is the service though which seemed lazy and inefficient. We had a very long time at each stage of service. I would like to give the restaurant another try soon but it's probably best to stick to the sweet menu only.

I am all about the experience not just the food or the ambience - here all the boxes are ticked time and time again! the staff are lovely, the menu is extensive and caters I think for all types of palates and preferences, the ambience is pleasant and relaxed and you can literally park right outside.
It never disappoints and today we tried their non-alcoholic cocktails ...... Wow wee! and the cakes well we shared one and we are taking a slice home and making a drive by to drop off a couple of slices for our grandparents

We visited Lbv in late February for a family celebratory dinner. The setting was a little underwhelming but we could not fault the food quality and service. The menu whilst not huge offered something for all tastes. Our meals were delicious and presentation of food was excellent. Drinks menu also offered a wide range of choice. Our waiter for the evening was attentive, friendly and extremely efficient. His table service was seemless,everything done without even knowing he was there.
This was our first visit and It did not disappoint.
