Very friendly, helpful staff
Reviewed By F6434TNjanetsI stayed at the Rotes Haus on a recent visit to Brugg as I was visiting a friend in hospital locally. The staff were super friendly and helpful, directing me to a bus stop so I did not need to walk to the station, as well as lending me an adaptor as I only had an EU plug. The room was basic but sparkling clean and there was lots of storage. The breakfast was most pleasant and they had delicious coffee. Overall a great experience and I would stay there again if I was in the area.

Reviewed By 978darrelsOnly here for a couple of nights but the proprietors are so lovely. Polite, and nothing is too much, always willing to help. I want to adopt them as my parents! I wish other hotel workers gave the same kind of service.

Reviewed By MarcelRuetschiDie wehrhafte Altstadt von Brugg wirkt für Besucher nicht unbedingt einladend, ist aber mit seinen engen Gassen und Strässchen sehr authentisch. Wer die Geschichte ein bisschen kennt, weiss auch dass die Häuser nicht einfach so wie kleine Festungen gebaut wurden. Wenn man das kaum beschriftete Haus der Marco Polo Apartments findet, betritt man ein sanft renoviertes Haus, welchem die ursprünglichen Ecken und Kanten erhalten blieben. Der alte, (teilweise) knarrende Holzboden ist auf jedem der drei Stockwerken mit einzelnen Tritten und Absätzen versehen, welche die Unebenheiten der Jahrzehnte (oder Jahrhunderte?) ebnen. Ich wurde sehr freundlich begrüsst und die unkomplizierte Art ist erfrischend und man fühlt sich von Anfang an willkommen. Das Zimmer (ich war in der Nummer 4) hatte schlussendlich sämtliche Erwartungen übertroffen. Stilvoll eingerichtet präsentiert sich das kleine Apartment mit einer ausgerüsteten Kochecke, einem Esstisch, einer Couch und einem sehr modernen Bad von seiner besten Seite. Wie im gesamten Haus auch ist hier alles tadellos sauber und die Tatsache, dass sich im Kühlschrank kostenlose Getränke (Je zwei Fläschchen Wasser, Schorle und Bier) befinden, sowie Kaffee und Tee zur Verfügung stehen, gibt einem fast ein bisschen das Gefühl in eigene vier Wände einzutreten. Ein äusserst seltenes Erlebnis in einem “Hotel”. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine schöne Stuckatur-Decke und die direkte Sicht auf die Reuss ist sehr schön. Noch schöner ist diese Sicht jedoch von der kleinen Dachterrasse im 3. Stock, wo sich auch die vier oder fünf Tische für das Frühstück befinden im Haus befinden. Das Frühstücksbüffet bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas (sogar Porridge). Das frisch (und extra für mich) zubereitete Rührei mit Speck war ausgezeichnet und auch hier war die Gastfreundschaft äusserste herzlich. Kurzum: Falls ich jemals wieder in Brugg übernachten sollte, dann weiss ich genau wohin ich gehe. Ich kann dieses hübsche 3-Sterne Haus nur empfehlen und mich dem Wort Bijou nur anschliessen. Macht bitte weiter so.
