Usually when we order apatizer, we took cheese and prosciutto, but this time a very nice and kind old man (maybe a owner, not sure) told us that they have made mashroom soup. We took it and it was the best We tried. For main course we took beefsteak with mashrooms and homemade pasta called fuzi. I enjoyed every second of it. For dessert we had pancakes. Very very delicious!

Great in the morning for good coffee, fresh orange juice and a croissant. Great in the afternoon and early evening for an aperitif. Lovely relaxing sea views at any time. Cooled by the sea breeze and very comfortable. Good selection of drinks. The waiters are very attentive and polite. Great pit stop. Prime location in Novigrad.

We visited place on our friends suggestion. Nice welcome. We appreciate it and specially on waiters welcoming. The menu is correct and more than inaff choices between seafood and meats dishes. They used a local Adriatic seafood and local truffles and meat, but there’s no fresh make up on food presentation atِ all. Could be much better.
Price range is normal, correct.

Even though we looked at the pictures on the web before we visited the place, the surroundings, magnificent view of the sun disappering in the sea, while we were slowly sipping our drinks and enjoying great food - it was all above all our expectations. We'll be back!

Last evening we ate at this restaurant with the family. Although the only empty table in the front was reserved, we could sit there in stead of in the backyard because we have a disabled daughter. Nevertheless we decided to sit in the backyard because that looked more cosy. There we discovered after a while a lot of ants where around and on the table.
Half of the items on the menu were not available, which was a bit disappointing. The meat, especially the steak fionantina was not very impressive. The grilled vegetables and fresh fries were good. Not many choice on the Deserts. (Only 2). Overall conclusion: not very good restaurant. Would not go there again.

I was there recently and had truffles pasta locally named "fuzi s tartufima". the meal price is some 10% higher then in zagreb but problem was that i asked waitress if the portion is suitable for a meal or if it is an appetizer on which she said its an normal portion for one, for surely it is not, it is an appetizer and portion is really small. secondly eating this traditional local dish i would expect it to be better then in zagreb which is not the case here, it was too rarely made more like a soup then pasta, ingredients were good though but dish was too watery

We were there for lunch on a Friday and we stayed outside, under a wonderful pergola. The guy serving us was very friendly and nice and we enjoyed a fantastic Istrian menu, made of raw ham with pickles, fresh bread, tagliatelle with truffles, fusi with chicken and gnocchi with boar meat. The servings were quite generous and we didn't ask for more. With still water, wine and coffees, the bill was fair enough.
Next time, we will go also to visit the marble mines just in front of the restaurant.
It's a nostalgic place in the sense that only Italian music of the Sixties/Seventies has been playing.

Autentic dalmatian restaurant 15 minutes from the seaside on the hilltop near Buje. They have a variety of beefsteaks grilled on fire. The most prestigious steak is the one with white truffels, it is served in the autumn when it has the season, so we tried it with the black truffels which was also amazing. Reservation is recommended.

Restaurant Belveder

We have found this restaurant thanks to TripAdvisor. We have had a rented appartment very nearby and we did not know there was such a good restaurant in close vicinity. You know there are no signs, no advertising, nothing! The restaurant itself is well hidden beyond other houses in narrow street on the very edge of Dajla.
But there is probably no need for any advertising. The restaurant is probably well known, even famous. We came there and we got the last but one table. Without the epic sea view sadly. The food weighted this disadvantage out. The restaurant is focused on seafood and mediterranean cuisine. So the seafood we ordered. And risotto with prawns. My plate-full-of-sea-epicness (scampi, calamari, prawns) was delicious. And well worth the price (130kuna I guess). It was a pile of food! And very good one! Also the risotto was real deal. This way it should be prepared, the etalon of risotto :-)
The food even outweighted that the service was not the quickest (OK, the restaurant was full) and they brought us spaghetti instead of risotto for the start... Even the masters sometimes do mistakes ;-)
All an all the restaurant is worth visiting even if you are not exactly in Dajla. Do the homework, find the way (ask in Dajla's Riva market/pizzeria, or Google shows the position well if you try to find Belveder Dajla restaurant) and enjoy the deliciousness and superb view!
Highly recommended!
