The location is really good being right at the center of vancouver downtown, but the facilities and services were not up to expectations. Was asked the preferred timeslot for room keeping services, which we chose am, and then the services were always at noon or later. The youtube casting didnt work for the tv. Did not send receipt via email, despite requested multiple times.

Rooms are worn and dated

Reviewed By GourmandTrashPanda

I do love old classy hotels... when they are maintained accordingly. Unfortunately, I mixed up the Pacific Rim Fairmont with the Fairmont Hotel and so now I am stuck in a cramped worn room where the paint is chipped of the walls and the bathroom is reminiscent of a Japanese business hotel. Definitely not staying again.

Visit to Vancouver to see family

Reviewed By Lisa H

I just returned from a 4 day visit to Vancouver. It was two of us ( a friend of mine and myself). First off the Hotel is in a great location and walking distance to everything. Upon arrival the staff were fantastic and check in was easy. We even got freshly baked cookies as a welcome gift, nice touch! We had the suite with 2 queen beds and a separate sitting room. It was spotless and very spacious for our needs. Their is free Netflix available so you just use your personal sign on. The room had a mini fridge and a small Keurig style coffeemaker. Front desk staff lets you know on arrival if you need housekeeping services you need to book that in advance. Getting extra towels etc is no problem they’ll bring it all right up. Their is a restaurant/bar on the property that has a Happy hour from 3-6 and another one from 9- Late. Our first night there it wasn’t closed for a private function so we weren’t allowed access. Our second night there we wanted to pop in for a drink at 10pm but they were closing so I’m not sure what “late” means as advertised above. It seemed to vary nightly. The drinks in the bar were good and the restaurant has a minimal menu but what we had was good (not great) . Overall a very nice stay except for a few “Cons” Room service: They do not offer pots of coffee to bring to your room. Your only option (other than your tiny coffee maker) is to order a coffee in the morning. The options are one size, medium cup, of A Starbucks coffee choice. Plain, Latte or Cappuccino. The cost for 2 coffee with room service was $18 CAN. That includes a $5 service fee to deliver. Twice we asked for extra creamers and sugars and twice it didn’t come with our order and needed to send them to get more. The coffee arrived in paper cups, no ceramic mugs available, so it gets cold fast. The Restaurant Breakfast choices were minimal. Sometimes you’d just like to get some bacon and eggs, toast and potatoes , or a simple omelette but that wasn’t an option. Breakfast for 2 with room service was $75 CAN . I did mention these things to front desk on check out and she said “she’d tell the manager “ Overall our stay was lovely, just wanted to mention those few things!

Poor Performance, Expected Better!

Reviewed By Ulwazi

We overnighted at the Pan Pacific Vancouver in advance of our cruise. We picked the hotel for two reasons: it is rated 4.5,stars and it is right at the cruise ship terminal. However, the stay fell far short from what we expected. The first challenge was getting a good night’s rest. Our corner room was in close proximity to the pool and hot tub and the noise (even people speaking loudly) carried up to our room, even with the windows closed. Called the front desk, but their response was that until 10 PM there was nothing they could or are willing to do. They basically said we’d need to endure until 10 PM. This uncaring attitude was not expected. Second was that the bathroom was not properly cleaned. My wife found numerous long black hairs on the floor and she has neither black hair, or long hair. When we checked out, no one even asked how our stay was! I believe that we received much less value for what we paid. Unfortunately in the future we’ll stay elsewhere.
