This place has real potential but lacks enthusiasm on so many levels. The sign said please wait to be seated, and we did... while a couple went past us and seated themselves. 5 minutes later a server appeared and told us to sit where we wanted.Thursdays fish & chips special was 2 good size portions of fresh cod battered crisp with hand cutfries and coleslaw for $11.95, very tasty.If you dont expect much from the decor & service the specials are great for a quick bite.Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. Your input, and the feedback of all customers is vitally important to us as we always want customer expectations to be met.Weâre sorry to hear that your recent visit was not a great one and that you did not receive prompt or attentive service. We do try to greet and serve all guests as promptly as possible and to provide attentive service throughout each visit. We will be speaking with our staff and will endeavor to make sure this sort of incident does not occur again. On another note, we do have plans in the near future to do some renovations and upgrades to the decor and restaurant. Again, please do accept our sincere apology. We hope you will consider giving us another try.

There is not much atmosphere in this pub, which is attached to a bowling alley.I ordered a Strikers Classic Burger with Yam Fries as my side. The Burger had good flavour. The bun was toasted, the beef patty was fair size, they used real Cheddar, instead of processed cheese and the bacon was crispy. The Burger was decent and filling. Although you donât get a lot of Yam Fries, they were a good side. Service was good and prices were reasonable.

Visiting Powell River for the first time and the Shinglemill was on our hit list...and did not disappoint.....Noah the Manager and our host was super attentive and friendly, we ordered the lunch special, Snapper Fish n Chips, served with excellent fries and fresh fresh coleslaw...we all started with the seafood chowder and All Loved it...lots of seafood and veggies ...a great place with great views of Powell Lake Marina......not to be missed on your trip to, Beautiful Powell River....

The area where this restaurant is situated is absolutely amazing, beautiful mountains, right on a beautiful lake. Lots to look at with the boaters coming and going as well. We give the location a â5â plus!!!!The service here is mediocreâbasically they do their job and thatâs it. Not really friendly at all and everything seemed to take longer than it should have. The food is hit and miss. Chicken Wings were very good but their hamburgers were awful. We would come back for the scenery and a drink and maybe an appyâbut donât think we would order a meal again We are so sorry to hear your poor experience with us! We pride ourselves in satisfying our customers needs. I have learned that the best way to improve is to understand what went wrong. Great food, good service. Didnât try the desserts, but they look sinfully good. This is one of the few places that serves grilled halibut (or cod) rather than battered & deep fried. Salads are fresh with a delicious house blackberry vinaigrette. Thier french fries are the best. Pizzas, served only on weekends, are said to be really good.
