This is a dessert place that serves gourmet waffles and a variety of boutique coffee drinks. There is some seating indoors, and they are conveniently located on 'the strip' in the midst of all of the action. You can see the ocean right across the street. The waffles are a little on the expensive side ($9 Cdn or so) BUT they are easily large enough to share - you get 2 large, square, made-in-front-of-you hot Belgian waffles with any number of toppings. I've only tried Oreo, and the hazelnut/caramel, which come with delicious vanilla ice cream, sweet whipped cream, etc. Honestly, these are really, really good, and I highly recommend this over the regular ubiquitous ice cream fare. PS Get the hazelnut/caramel topped waffle - it's AMAZING!!!

Six of us met here for lunch on a weekday, the waitress was very good and was helpful explaining the menu. We all ordered the Schnitzel which is one of the house specialties. Lunch arrived and we all started eating, the first comment was “it’s dry” the second comment was “it tastes greasy”, both remarks were appropriate. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch.

The restaurant is first class in every way. The staff greet you at the door and are very friendly. The premises is very clean and spacious. The chairs are high back and upholstered with a convenient hook on the table to hang your purse. There is a good selection of wine and food available. The presentation of the food is wonderful and is fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is great. I had salad, rice, 3 prawns and 2 scallops for $25.00 and found it to be pricey but it is a first class so the prices are also but you eat and drink the very best. Left hungry!!

Le Vol Au Vent

I know rent is expensive down on White Rock Beach, but the price points of this restaurant are just too high. We go once in a while, but I must say, each time we are reminded of why we don't go too often. The food is pretty good, but for the simple dishes that they offer on a limited menu, sorry ... this is not France ... its a little greedy.
