So you are clearly on your way somewhere when you stop here. It is always crowded, busy with a 15-minute wait on the queue before our order was taken. It isn't really that big, and while they are extremely efficient, patience is required if you are going to enjoy the very very yummy ice cream. Loved my vanilla chocolate double scoop in a cup, but as I sat outside trying to savor each bite, the waft of manure from the cow fields where the cows that are responsible for this great ice cream roam was in your face. Sat for awhile (there is also some indoor seating, but with the crowds, not very appealing), but finished my cup in the car on the drive back home. A great taste of Delaware! Highly recommend.

Have eaten there before and was better than this. Chicken and dumplings could not eat as chicken was burnt, dumplings thick and gummy and extremely salty. Liver was very tender but gravy and onions had to be scooped off due to extreme saltyness. Not sure if we will go back.

Celebrating a 'pesky' b'day, lunched here... Wow, were we impressed! Our server, 'Lauryn' made us feel special by sprinkling our table w/glitter & a 'Happy B'day' lamp necklace...then reciting the lengthy, enticing range of specials (brava, Lauryn). We shared mussels to start, then Barramundi (sustainable sea bass; delicious eating) for her; coquilles St. Jacques (scallops in creamy mushroom sauce in an oversized scallop shell...yumm) for me. We ended w/berries in chambord liquer. A fine meal, well prepared & served, in a charming, intimate setting...fairly priced.. Highly recommend.

Cafe Tamburelli's

Reviewed By Robert M - Bowie, Maryland

I had an opportunity to eat dinner at Cafe Tamburelli's in Greenwood, Delaware recently. The restaurant is located on Market Street, in Greenwood's downtown area, just across the railroad tracks. It is an Italian restaurant, with speciality dishes in pizza, pasta, salads, hoagies/subs/sandwiches, and other entrees. I chose the angel hair pasta with meat sauce, which turned out to be a very generous portion, served with salad and breadsticks. Had I gotten the meatball option, I would more than likely not have been able to finish my meal. It was delicious, and very filling. Service was good ... given the consideration that the waitress was serving a group of about 15. The restaurant has a main dining room, which was packed, with a lineup at the entrance. There is a space for meetings, receptions, and the like, which is behind the main dining room. The menu is primarily Italian cuisine, but there are some options if one would like something different. The restaurant has a liquor license, so there are options for beer, wine, and cocktails. All in all, my experience was very positive, and I would recommend it to travelers and visitors passing through Greenwood. Based on my observations, the locals appear to patronize this place "to the max." No complaints as my order was as requested. There is a dessert menu, but I was too full to take advantage of it. Tamburelli's is worth a revisit, and I plan to stop here again when in Greenwood. Five stars ... excellent food ... reasonable prices. Greenwood is lucky to have this place. Check it out when going through town on Route 16, one of the major routes to Delaware's wonderful beaches in Lewes and Rehoboth. You'll be glad you did!

This is a nice little coffee shop with a great variety of coffee drinks at reasonable prices. You can also buy coffee to take home. On my last visit, they had muffins and cookies for sale. In addition, they have a retail section set up that you can browse through if antiques and crafts are your thing. I will visit again.

Passwaters Restaurant is located in the Heritage Shores Clubhouse in Bridgeville, Delaware. The food and the ambiance are excellent. The executive chef, Morgen Eldred, has brought the cuisine to an entirely new level. The Sunday brunch is a special treat. The restaurant is moderately priced with an upscale feeling. Throughout 2013 they have focused on using Local farmers produce as well as special dietary needs. One of the few facilities around that has a full functioning restaurant, banquet facilities for over 300 and an 18 hole golf course. Dine in the casual Tavern, in the casual-upscale Passwaters Restaurant or on the Passwaters Porch while here - don't forget to catch some of the most magnificent sunsets from the porch!

Visited the dining room as well as the pub many times with a friend who lives in the community. Food is consistent; fresh, nicely presented, 15% service added to your bill automatically. Dining room not as busy was the pub. Great Sunday brunch offered. Generous portions and varied menu - steaks, chops, fish, pastas and appetizers. Very good service.

Smith's Family Restaurant

Heading home from Rehoboth today I typed in lunch to search for reviews and Smith's Family Restaurant was the winner. We live in Baltimore and go to Rehoboth nearly every other month and we're always looking for new places to try, preferably local, non-chain restaurants so we can support local businesses. The smell of home cooked food was like a warm hug when I walked in the door and although it was quite busy we were seated right away (clearly this place is a huge hit with the after church crowd) and Vicki, our very attentive server took care of us immediately. Both hubby and I went with the Hot Turkey Sandwich both with green beans but I got the fries while he went with the mashed potatoes. Just sitting at our table looking around I was very impressed with the large portions and so many different homemade, delicious smelling dishes. The sandwich was filled with fresh roasted Turkey and the bread was super fresh and covered in the most delicious gravy. The green beans were fresh and perfectly cooked and they give you a very large portion, same as with the fries which were hot and crisply and the mashed potatoes. Hubby knows I love Hot Roast Beef sandwiches so he asked our server how they were and she told us they used Eye Round beef and that it, like all their dishes, was quite popular and delicious. We'll definitely be back in a little over a month and will make this a regular stop from now on. Lots of parking in the private lot and the servers all work together to make sure everyone is taken care of, awesome experience from start to finish, only wish we lived closer so we could take advantage of all their amazing dinner and lunch specials.

This is a small bagel, sandwich shop that is always hustling. The homemade bagels and breads are delicious. There's even a drive-through window. Be prepared to wait for a table at lunch time as this place is popular because everything is good. Love the chicken salad and the toasted bagels (homemade bread too).

The restaurant is funky, in a good way. Small roadside eatery. We had 3 different meals. All excellent. Brisket, pulled pork and ribs. WOW! Nice bark on the brisket with just the right amount or sauce. Fall off the bone ribs, and great pulled pork. Dinners come with 2 sides, all good. Homemade lemonade and sweet tea.
Highly recommended. We will go back!
