The Kavalierhaus in Caputh was recommended by a friend and so I went there for a Sunday brunch with another friend. The hotel / restaurant is right next by the lake, adjoining the park and the castle. The brunch buffet was very creative and tasty. The food per person was 18 Euros, drinks were extra. The brunch buffet opens at 11 am and closes at 3 pm.All in all a very nice experience.

This restaurant is part of the Haveltreff Hotel. It offers various options should you hesitate between diner by the fireplace and at the great terasse just couple of meters from the lake. Service stands in the upper quartile with an authentic style and a staff gently advising without being intrusive. They made no mistake and our meals always met or exceed expectations. It tasted awesome, fresh and tasty vegetables, succulent meat and (too) good deserts. At the end the Chef took time to visit our table to chat a minute or 2 that was very kind. Truly they care about quality and satisfaction. One hint: After the coffee, do not forget the home made 'schnapps'.We have had wonderful time there and warmly recommend this family owned establishment. They acquired the place just couple of months ago and work hard to upscale.I have read some negative comments on TA, surely related to old times as they do not reflect at all our experience at Chelinet.

Wir sind eher durch Zufall zum Abendessen in dieses Restaurant gefahren und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Wir fanden einen sehr netten und aufmerksamen Service vor. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und in sehr angemessenen Portionen (hab ich als Frau nicht geschafft). Selbst die Sauce Hollandaise war frisch und selbst hergestellt. Ganz groÃes Lob, wir kommen wieder!

At first glance, we didn't think we would be able to eat here without a reservation. Tables completely full or with reservation cards on top were all we could see. The hostess, however, let us know you could order the same things from a stand and eat on the nearby pier, complete with wooden tables on the water.We stood in line for about ten minutes, and ordered our food. Hint: get the fish nuggets. They were beer battered and amazing when coupled with this place's homemade remoulade or honey mustard. I also loved the fried catfish (Wels). It was so fresh and hot that I burned myself many times while trying to eat it because I was impatient and couldn't wait. My husband had fried salmon, and enjoyed it, too, although I'm pretty sure the catfish was better. From a stand across from where you order food, we got beer and wine and took everything down to the dock. We got a perfect corner table and enjoyed the view of the water. Highly recommended!

An der Brücke von Werder nach Geltow mit Blick auf den Schwielowsee liegt das Lokal, zugleich auch an einem Radweg, so dass es für eine Rast bestens geeignet liegt, aber auhc ist. Insbesondere die Plätze im Garten vor dem Haus sind sehr schön, innen wirkt das Lokal leicht ältlich. Die Speisekarte ist nicht sehr umfangreich, aber ermöglicht hinreichend Auswahl. Nachmittags gibt's auch Kuchen, der sehr gut ist. Insgesamt ein nettes AUsflugslokal mit sehr gutem und freundlichem Service.

Markisches Gildehaus is not only retaurant but also a small Hotel. The restaurant is ok but a bit limited for my taste. The hotel hovewer seems not to have changed for a bit too long. The rooms are extremely dated! The beds are tiny and the bathroom was not spotless. The reception staff is never there. Definite pro: direct lake access. Otherwise, I would not stay again.

Well known by the locals there were all sorts of parties and groups gathered to eat at a large barbecue. We were not invited to take part and went on the menu. Good service, good food - if a little plain - lovely spot. We were recommended to it by our landlady and went by bike.

Ich sitze im schönen Garten und genieÃe den leckeren Flammkuchen mit Räucherlachs und lausche den unsichtbaren Vögeln ... Die Bedienung ist toll und wird sicherlich schnell einen sehr guten Job finden und die Betreiberin wird hoffentlich in anderer, vielleicht kleinerer Form irgendwann weitermachen ... Dieses gastronomische Kleinod wird Werder fehlen ...

We were on our way to Potsdam when our GPS led us to the ferry crossing. Right there is the Faerhaus Caputh. We decided to stop for dinner and had a wonderful meal. Service was good, view to die for, english Menu, and very reasonable. Dinner for 2 about $65. We even came back 2 days later too. Dont' hesitate to go.

We had a very nice German meal on the water. The atmosphere was excellent and the wait staff was very good as well as the food. Highly recommended right there on the water!
