Dieses Lokal gibt es schon seit Mitte der neunziger Jahre, was in Brandenburg bei den ganzen Pleiten und Wechsel im Restaurantbereich keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist.Selbstverständlich scheint hingegen für viele Anwohner zu sein: Wenn man mal Essen gehen möchte, dann dorthin.Insofern herrscht eine recht familiäre Atmosphäre - man kennt sich eben und darf nach dem Essen ohne den obligatorischen Digestiv "auf's Haus" das nicht verlassen.Das Lokal ist sehr bodenstämmig mit einer Einrichtung, die ein wenig aus der Zeit gefallen ist. Dies ist aber in dem Fall kein Nachteil, da dies in die kroatischen Restaurants in Deutschland seit den 80er Jahren zurückversetzt.Die Speisekarte ist riesig und wird dominiert von den ganzen bekannten Grillgerichten im Fleischbereich, die schon in der DDR bei Reisen nach dem damaligen Jugoslawien entdeckt wurden.Die Gerichte sind daher klassisch: Sehr üppige Portionen im Fleischbereich, diese dann ebenfalls typisch meistens sehr trocken gegrillt (was aber auch in praktisch jedem griechischen Restaurant ebenfalls der Fall ist). Was mir gefällt sind die heute nicht mehr so häufig anzutreffenden vielfältigen Lebervariationen, die die bürgerliche Küche unterstreichen.Getränke sind tadellos und sind gut gepflegt, solange man sich Kaltgetränke (Bier) dazubestellt. Die Preise sind angemessen, so das es sich um ein rundum solides Angebot handelt. Wegen des familiären Charakters freut man sich auf einen Besuch, auch wenn das Essen im Ergebnis überwürzt und totgegrillt ist, aber dies gehört - wie oben gesagt - zu fast allen Restaurants aus der Achse Adria-Griechenland einfach dazu.

Ein sehr nettes und gemütlich eingerichtetes Restaurant. Der hängende Spieà die Spezialität des Hauses ist eine Augenweide. Das Fleisch war etwas zu sehr durchgebraten aber von guter Qualität.

I guess, this restaurant serves mainly guests from the Sophienhof hotel. The menu is not sophisticated, but the trout and dear medallion, we ordered for a late dinner, appeared not bed. The prices are not high and the hotel is next door building.

We lucked into this lovely restaurant one beautiful fall day, and took advantage of their beautiful garden by the river to have our lunch. The Argentine steak was nicely grilled and served with kroketts and a mixed salad. My husband is vegetarian, though it's not often easy to find good choices for vegetarians, they had a very good Spinach Gratin casserol. We also ordered a lovely *shopska salad* and a bowl of tomato soup to begin. Both well worth having again next time we go through. There are several parking lots near the restaurant and it's on a very nice street within 3 or 4 blocks of the train station.

We stopped by at this place and it was simply perfect.All cakes were homemade and simply perfect. A quick chat with the chef highlighted that all dishes served are homemade and with high quality ingredients.Definitely a good place to go!

This is a very typical german restaurant with plenty of german dishes, the food is good, big portions so you will definitely not starve :) but nothing that special. The service was ok the waitress seemed a bit rude at some points and very nice other times during the dinner (probably because she was stressed because she worked alone)But overall it was a nice restaurant

Just had a drink in this renovated water tower but the place is original, people welcoming and the garden around the tower looks quite welcoming. Nice place for a stop.

I heartily recommend the restaurant Zum Bayern on the outer ring of the Berlin Beltway. Take the Zernsdorf exit and turn onto Friedrich-Engels Str. The restaurant is located on the left where Friedrich-Engels Str. turns into Karl-Marx Str. (both reminders of the areaâs Communist past). One might not expect to find a Bavarian restaurant on the outskirts of Berlin, but certainly none better is to be found in all of Bavaria. As to be expected, waitresses serve in Dirndls and tables are set with blue and white checked tablecloths but otherwise the Bavarian decor is tastefully muted. We all ordered the house speciality Schweinehaxân, braised pork shanks set under the broiler to bring the skin to a delightful crispiness. Served with dumplings, red cabbage, ample gravy and beer, it made a most memorable meal. The chef and owner speaks excellent English, so that even guests with a limited knowledge of German can expect to be well-served.

I went here a couple of times and never once get dissapointed by it's food nor it's services.Would definitely recommend you if you looking for a good amount of food portion with affordable prices and excellent service with a cozy atmosphere.

There is just something about the food we grew up with. Especially, the things that last and are still around. This currywurst is one of those instances. It just fulfills me with content if I am handed the infamous Kanalwurst.
