Popped in for dinner on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was quiet, but staff were very friendly, once we used a few words of French. Food was very good, but may not suit evryones palet. Not the cheapest place, but we enjoyed it. Would I go again? If in the area yes, but wouldn't detour for it. If you are in Cenon give it a go

Seating both inside and out at this friendly restaurant. Had both lunches and evening meals here and have not been disappointed. Staff very friendly and accommodating with a good 'plat du jour' menu available. Best to book as it is popular with locals.

Just, wow. I can't believe I haven't tried L'oiseau Bleu sooner. The service was impeccable. Servers were so attentive, constantly filling up our wine glasses if we were just a little bit low, and explaining the dishes in perfect detail. The food, simply amazing. Best lamb ever. Definitely my new favorite gastronomy restaurant of Bordeaux. I will be sure to take friends and family who visit here!

We visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday and there were a lot of people, and the staff looked very busy. They were sold out of a few items on the menu when we arrived and it took a few minutes for us to be seated but the service was good otherwise. We ordered a lunch set of pasta salad with chicken, dessert and coffee. Everything was delicious so I would return.

Visited this lovely french restaurant during our rain soaked weekend in Bordeaux. A welcoming, nicely decorated restaurant with friendly staff. The food was delicious and plentiful a nice selection of local wine that the staff seem very proud about. Donât fall for the trick that the waitress tries to pull, when she first comes to the table she makes out that she doesnât speak much English, she can speak English no problem and was knowledgeable and helpful during our meal. We were surprised how reasonable the bill was after our evening spent here.

What a beautiful dining experience! From being welcomed despite no reservation (& with a glass of sweet wine on the house!), to the attentive service, to the homely but fine dining scale food (that squid dish..!), and the friendly generosity of the host. Would go back again and again.Go. A must.

The restaurant overlooks all of Bordeaux and the view is magnificent !We did the menu âdégustationâ in 8 courses. It was a marathon but totally worth it. I strongly recommend to be very hungry if you go for 8 courses. The service is exactly what you would expect from a restaurant of this standing. There was zero faux-pas.The chef definitely sets the level very high and the view is unique in the Bordeaux area. This is a good address and have been a few times. The service is quick and the food is good. There is quite a varied selection of choices on the menu. There is also a good selection of wines to choose from. There is a big car park and you can eat upstairs or downstairs.

This restaurant is a one star Michelin place, and therefore serves good food, offers good service (and is expensive) . It lived up to the expectationIn the evening they just offer their two tasting menus, one of 5 courses and one of eight courses. We chose the 5 course menu and found even that was almost more than we could eat.The setting is breath-taking - but you do need to have a table in the half of the restaurant with the picture windows. Ask to be seated there when you reserve. We had a view over the château, and as night fell, the château was floodlitThe staff are very good, friendly and polite, without being over friendly nor obsequious.. Personally I found their uniform a bit odd, the men in jeans and white trainers, and the girls in red dresses and white trainersThe menu changes weekly, so you are unlikely to have what we had, but take it from me, the flavour, quality and presentation of the food is outstanding.. We had a bottle of wine , rather than the selection of different wines you can have with each course. For a Michelin star restaurant, the wines are reasonably pricedIt was a bit difficult to find, my GPS did not have the street given in their address. I put in a neighbouring street, and that got me to close enough, where we were able to pick up the street location signs for it. Once you get to it, there is ample parking, and you just walk into the château via the marked signsAll in all a wonderful evening
