My wife and I both opted for the six-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was very good. Ambiance and setting are pleasant right beside the river. Our dinner here was among the most bizarre experiences we ever had in any restaurant so far. We chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews. What we learned from the experience however, was that we will from now on always consider the negative reviews about any location, too. Because that was exactly what we experienced: a waiter (owner?) who wasn't able to answer questions in a serious way, but always in an ironic or sarcastic way instead - adding "just a joke" to all of his answers - was only the beginning. After leaving us alone at our table for a while, he finally showed up to take our drinks order - after which nothing happened. Not only did he forget what we had ordered, but also THAT we had already ordered. This became obvious when we finally got the food and asked for our drinks again. We started asking ourselves whether the guy was on drugs or just had a massive personality disorder and clearly shouldn't be in such a job. Only then, we started reading the negative reviews about this place and found confirmation of what we had just experienced. We then made an effort to avoid contact with him, asking his colleague to bring the bill, who was so embarrassed that she offered our drinks for free.All in all: an extremely bizzarre experience and even though the food was ok, we recommend you to stay away from this place.

Thanks to Tripadvisor, I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant, and on a recent girls trip, we had lunch here. On entering the place, you are greeted by a breathtaking view of horses galloping, a beautiful farm house, and a smiling waitress. we managed to get a table outside, under the shade. The weather was gorgeous, and the food even better. One of my girlfriends was dying to have gnocchi, and trust me when I say this, it literally melted in my mouth. Another one of the girls and I shared a bacon pizza, thin crusted, which was equally superb, and a third friend of ours had the pork ghoulash with dumplings. Needless to say, all the food was great, the hot chocolate that followed was even better, but what we were taken aback about was just the serenity and peace that we experienced on entering the place. We were advised to visit a new and âone of the bestâ restaurants in KarlovyVary. But what we have experienced at the restaurant was below our expectations. Quality of the food was quite good, but level of service is much below the ambitions of the restaurant. Dear Mr jeyhun65,Thank you very much for your visit, your opinion and comments. Probably the service did not inform you about the fact that a necessary part of the unique PPP project La Hospoda are students of the local gastronomic high school, who have in a restaurant every day a practice - in the restaurant and in the kitchen too, because restaurant La Hospoda is a training center for students of this gastronomic high school. I have been here with some of my colleagues. The place is very cute and tiny. Surrounded by a nice garden rich of flowers. They have international cuisine but we try a fantastic pasta. Every dish was perfect. Waiters very professional and skill and very polite. Quality price ratio above 1.I will recommend to anyone needs to eat good food and relaxing time.

Tady necekejte zadne zazraky. My tu byli jeste mimo sezonu, kdyz nevarili. Takze k jidlu nabizeli jen nakladany syr, utopenec a klobasu. Utopenec byl dobry a k tomu taky dobre pivo.

We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel manager, so our expectations of it were very high. The position was lovely, overlooking the beautiful town square and its stunning old world charm.However, it stops there. We ordered a beef dish which my husband ate and said it was edible, but not hot. I ordered pork with potato dumpling and spinach. YUCK! There was no other word to describe the meal. It came out luke warm,(microwaved) the pork was rock hard and dry (it certainly wasn't freshly cooked to order); the creamed spinach was undesirable to say the least, and the dumpling stodgy and flavourless.

I visit the place twice and every time is was packed with German tourists who flocked here in large groups. It seems to be the main source of income as staff only concentrates on them. Talking to friends who have been there as well, everybody has the same opinion. It took us more than an hour to get seated.We tasted all their beers and most of them were OK. Food seemed to be expensive, so we skipped that.
