Small town, big gem !
Hubby and I ate here Friday night.
This deserves 5+ stars.
I ordered the crab cakes, nice lump crab and the seasoning was so tasteful. Served with fresh asparagus and a 2 potato mashed together, sweet potato and white, good combination.
Hubby had filet done to perfection .
He enjoyed the same veggies and loved them
Dessert... salted carmel cheesecake..to die for.
Dont leave without trying it, worth every calorie.
We will return when in the area again.
The owner very personal, friendly and congenial.
Greets everyone who comes to eat at his business.
This is a nice special touch.

I easily found this place by the coffee aroma from the street. Very nice young man waited on me.. I told hm I like strong coffee and mocha and he offered me a few choices. I chose a mocha latte which had 2 shots of espresso. It was excellent. The ambience is great. They offer pastries and quiches and lunch. I recommend this spot for a good cup of coffee and solitude!

Someone writes that this is "ok" in a place "with few options".....wow. That's harsh, and that's just not true. l am a native New Yorker..born and raised in Manhattan...no better bagel can be found anywhere!

I give this place a 5. Probably would have been a 4, as perfection is saved for God ...lol...but I got annoyed at the guy a few reviews downs that wrote the aforementioned.

Great bagels, excellent service...you won't be disappointed.

How nice to find a restaurant that is quiet and staffed with friendly knowledgeable servers. The dining room where we were seated included a small gas fireplace which added to the ambiance. We started with the soup special - cream of asparagus and crab - full of flavor! We both ordered the lamb osso bucco which was the perfect dish for a rainy November night. Lots of comfort in this dish! We enjoyed excellent wines by the glass that complimented both courses. The meal was well paced and made for a very relaxed experience.

We stopped here randomly while passing through the area looking for something that got decent reviews. We didn't have a reservation and didn't have any trouble being seated quickly. We were surprised at the menu selection, it was the middle of summer but the menu looked to be from fall/winter, the specials included a beef stew and a heavy pork pasta dish, nothing with berries or summer vegetables. I decided on the duck confit sandwich and the hubs got the pork chop (which came with sauteed apples again more of an autumn dish). The pork chop was over cooked and very fatty, the hubs was disappointed with his selection. It came with two sides (mashed potatoes and asparagus) which were good. My duck sandwich was cooked very well and contained a lot more meat that I was expecting. The portions were large and the service was excellent. I felt like this restaurant was close to being great and might be on other days it just seemed slightly off on our visit. The price was reasonable for farm to table service. We would try it again to see if our experience was a one-off.

Tonight I had the lasagna (excellent!) and my companions had the Franciscan salmon (she love it) and cheese tortellini with marinara (very good).
Salads are nice. Flat bread for the table is tasty Wine selection is good - by the glass or bottle. Service was warm, friendly and efficient.
A packed house at 6:30 on a Tuesday evening, so reservations are recommended.!.
