22 Broad Street

Authentic Italian food served in an historical setting in an 1868 home. Martini bar, screened in porch and real fireplace. Great for private parties and special occasions.

We were staying in Bethel and there had been a storm the night before so most of the restaurants were closed. Looking at the reviews, it seemed that this restaurant was far grander than we really wanted but we decided to give it ago. It's was certainly not what I would call fine dining, just reasonable Italian food. We both chose the Sunday gravy and got a ridiculously enormous helping - each enough for three people. We couldn't really taking doggy bags because we were staying in a hotel - such a waste.

I am an espresso junkie. To find decent espresso on a mountain that isn't $20 a cup is a score so Coffee Hound qualifies as a score. Try the home made mini donuts. They are awfully good.

While this is an average rating, considering the zillions of DDs all over the northeast, average is what you want to achieve. The coffee was always good, as I expect from DD. I usually don't do the donuts, but got lunch or a snack here a few times and it was fine. The workers were nice. It is in a gas station. Not fine dining, but very handy.

Brian's

We visited Brian's whilst skiing at Sunday River.

It was a quiet Monday evening and when we arrived we were greeted warmly by our server, who was extremely pleasant and efficient.

Our food was delicious. My husband had the meatloaf and I had the cod, which was one of the specials for the evening. The fish was perfectly cooked, fresh and flavoursome.

We both enjoyed the ambiance of Brian's and can certainly appreciate why it is so highly rated. Also, the glass that my prosecco was served in was wonderful and an indication that even the smaller details receive attention at this restaurant!

Good Food Store

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered two sandwiches, drinks and chips. The sandwiches were delicious and freshly-made. Great selection of other snack items, drinks, home-made baked goods and many other items. You could do pretty well on a camping trip or with a kitchenette if this was your only store. Will definitely stop here again when in the area.

Meal left a lot to be desired; prices have been significantly increased; service was minimally acceptable. Have eaten in many, many restaurants from Maine to California and places in between and have never been charged for a refill on my coffee. Coffee price was $1.99/cup and when I asked for a refill I was charged an additional $1.99.

This was our visit stop on a brewery/brew pub road trip. We came for the beer, but did not expect to enjoy the food so much. It is a big place catering to skiers.

We had a flight of all thier beers. We enjoyed most of them and some to take with us on our road trip.

For food we had a pastrami hotdog and meat pizza. One of the best dogs I ever ate. The pizza was also delicious. We were too full for dessert, but we got a couple of donuts to take with us. We never ate them until the next day, but they were still soft and chewy. We wish we bought more.

This British pub has fantastic English food. Every other restaurant in town has the same exact food that is predictably average but the Jolly Drayman has amazing food that deviates from the norm and transports you to a pub across the lake. They also have above average bar food on the menu and they have very tasty cocktails. Service was great too.

Sud's Pub

Suds Pub has been an icon in Bethel, Maine for over a quarter century, welcoming locals and visitors alike. Family friendly, unpretentious and great value for money. Open every day from 11.30 For lunch, dinner and late night, with live music Thursday (open mike night), Friday and Saturday nights. Specialties include our hugely popular pizza: a small one topping pizza is available in the pub on Tuesday nights for only $5. Bed and breakfast accommodation is also available in the Sudbury Inn directly upstairs.

Reviewed By cbn260 - Sudbury, Massachusetts

Suds Pub is almost always very busy on a Friday or Saturday night. Most of the tables are long picnic tables so you will often share with others. The wait can be long to sit, the service tends to be slow and it is noisy but it is also fun! Local musicians perform well and it is a “hopping” place with good pizza, bison burgers and sandwiches as well as nachos and fish and chips. Go early and not starved and enjoy!

Smokin' Good BBQ

Reviewed By sdavi - Leominster, Massachusetts

We smelt great smoked meat when we walked up to the food truck. As a result I could not decide what I wanted and ordered the 4 meat platter to sample it all. The chicken was moist. The brisket fell right apart. The pork was a little over done and the sausage was just okay. The Wild sauce was absolutely the best. Overall a great BBQ experience.
