Reviews on Wine Bar food in Mogan, Canary Islands, Spain. This resort area on the southern part of Gran Canaria has a laid-back, upscale vibe. You’ll find crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling, a network of canals (which gave the town the nickname “Little Venice”), and a number of restaurants and bars along the pretty beach.

Had lunch here after a morning on the beach, they have fantastic iberico hams of various quality and price point, we tried both the most expensive (and it is indeed fantastic and worth the price and a try) and more modest Serrano which is equally well worth the price. We had two plate which was enough for all of us with bread.Must try if you are nearby!

We happened upon this place during a day out to Arg from Puerto Rico. The menu threw us a bit, lunch menu, and a choice of 400 wines ? Confused. The host explained, the chefs have worked in Michelin star kitchens, and they are "as the name says" a tasting restaurant. Well, blow me, in Arg ? this cannot be right, so I said it will be expensive and bad, how wrong. Focaccia - small, quaint, different, home made, superb. Suviche - Fresh fruit, fish, marinated in lime. My wife loved it.Wild mushroom croquettes - superb, no better. Wines advised by the host to match the food, €5 a glass or €4 if you drink the bottles he opened yesterday. For me, a wine lover, this is the place to be. Desert, sorbet and sweet wine, brilliant.Coffee, honey run, all in all a superb afternoon for €80We will be trying an evening taste sensation.Thank you so much for your lovely words!I am happy that we could "convince" you :-)I hope to see you here for dinner sometime.

While staying at Monte with my son and his wife we found this new addition to the area. So four of us tried this and really enjoyed a great selection of tapas, with local Canarian wines. Ivan the owner was very informative and spent a fair bit of time getting everything right for our experience. In fact we enjoyed it so much we returned for our last night when in addition to the excellent food and drink there was entertainment. Ashleigh on the saxophone was also up to the high standard provided here. Our only concern is that at present it’s not used enough. So here’s hoping this place does well as it’s a great addition to the rest of the places on site at Anfi.
